Monthly Favorites: July 2025 Edition!

A summery helloooo to you BIC, and I hope July has been treating you well! 🌞 My summer is off to the races weeee. 🏁 We are lucky to enjoy Summer Fridays over here at Sephora HQ, so I’ve used those to plan some long weekend trips, river days and whatever else allows me to soak up the sun—queue up the Summer BBQ playlist 🎸🎵

With that in mind, I’ve paired down my makeup routine in the warmer weather and gathered some minis of my regular skincare regimen. Thank you to everyone who commented on myMonthly Favorites: May 2025 Edition! post about sunscreen recs! MERIT launched their new Tinted Mineral Sunscreen a few days after I posted, so I snagged that and have not been disappointed. It blends beautifully, has no white cast and as a Brown girl, it’s one of the first tinted sunscreens I’ve used where I found a good shade match. 🤎 12/10 recommend for any of you looking for clean & light coverage with sun protection!

@Sunnysmom  Mia looks a lot like WA's Mimi blush, or am I seeing things?

Hmm not sure @Ispend2much6 , I’d have to compare them in store but I think Mia has more pink to it vs the more subdued nude tones of Mimi. Mia shows up quite a bit and maybe it doesn’t look it as much in my pic. Like a great pinky flush. 😊

@Sunnysmom  I meant tan lines, lol.  You are correct; Mia is definitely pink.

Oh maybe so @Ispend2much6 , could be. I think Tan Lines is a deeper/darker shade however. Though lovely I think I prefer rhode blush to WA’s. Oops. Longevity, finish, shades, all of it. WA has such a short shelf life too, sheesh.

@Sunnysmom  That's saying something because WA's blushes are my favorite.

@Ispend2much6 blushes are so personal that’s for sure. I really like WA too I just find them less glowy than rhode and my drier skin seems to need that added oomph. 🙂 So many blush so little time! That said I do want to see or try the Garçonne Lit Up!

@Sunnysmom  Me too.  I saw someone use a Lit stick by making a dot on the cheek and circling that with a WA blush.  Or was it the other way around?  Either way, it worked well and seems like a good way to use them, especially if the shades are a little bit strong for you.

That’s a fun idea @Ispend2much6 , gonna try it! I tend to do the blush and then put the highlighters above and smudge them together. Love this other idea. I’m not afraid of color ever!
