Returning Eyelashes

Hello,

I just purchased a pair of eyelashes online as they are unavailable at the closest Sephora to me. I received them yesterday, I knew they would not work because they were way too dramatic for daily wear. I tried to return them but was informed that we cannot return eyelashes. I have been a longtime Sephora customer and have always had a great experience with products that don't work out...so I was pretty surprised by this. Did I miss this disclaimer somewhere on the website? Or is there a warning when we purchase eyelashes?
