Meh... I might be tempted if it had better packaging. I hate bulky palettes unless there's something in the design to justify/overcome the bulk, and cardboard like this just doesn't cut it. THere's no reason they couldn't have used flat pans, skipped the brush, and come out with something more sleek. I already have 4 (!) bulky UD palettes (Gwen, Moondust, Spectrum, NotR), I don't think I can bring myself to buy another one. Storage space, man!
The colors do look pretty though.
I agree @JazaChai I can't see myself traveling with that kind of a palette either. Too easy to break especially if they get popped out. I only buy the flat pans.
And why create a palette like this if its not going to stay shut... I can see this flipflopping around in my bag.
This looks gorgeous but I think it'd be too shimmery for me personally.
Just posted this in the Deals Too Good to Pass Up thread as well - the Vice LTD has been added to the sale section on UD's website, after (I think) not having been on the website for a few months, in case anyone missed out on it the first few times around!
Dang, I was already having enough trouble deciding between which of the two already on sale to get once I start a job in a couple weeks, and now this one shows up and makes my decision harder!
The Urban Decay site has the Gwen Stefani Palette, the Electric Palette, the UDXX (Vice LTD Reloaded) Palette, the Vice 4 Palette, and the Vice LTD Palette on sale, as well as many UD brushes. 🙂
Thanks, @maddieb25
Yup they're replacing the old brushes with the more expensive "Pro" ones. The fact they were clearing them out for so little caused Sephora to yank them from their site immediately after the sale went live.
Hi @tsavorite I only own the Naked Flushed face brush, and Naked Basics double ended eyeshadow brush. The rest of my brushes are mostly random brands from my Ipsy sub. They came highly recommended by a VIB Rouge friend of mine who is also an UD junkie.
Pretty happy with them both, so much I bought an extra of the shadow brushes just because it was so cheap.
The face brush is nice, though if you have a super pigmented bronzer, blush or highlighter you might want to use a softer kabuki or make sure to tap excess and use a soft hand (the first time I used it, my bronzer went on way too solid haha, same with my highlighter using the other end).
The shadow brush is good and convenient to have a smudge brush on the other end. It was firm enough to pat and brush my UD shadows onto my lid, and the smudge end was just right for adding a nice soft shadow as liner under my eye.
I recently used it to wear Fireball on my lid and Dark Cloud as an under eye liner and implied wing (I blended it out gently so I didn't have to wear actual liner).
@tsavorite welcome 🙂
I didn't get the optical blurring brush because I use a sponge. Using round brushes for anything but stippling or downward strokes on the face actually crams product into the pores and can cause infections. Buffing is an absolutely horrid trend.
@tsavorite i really like the Optical Blurring Brush. I just purchased the blush brush
More UD holiday!!!
@Deltabean if you look a few pages back you'll see another palette. It's posted with the liquid moondust shadows and a face palette. Rumor has it that it's spectrum 2.
