This looks stunning and I love the colors! @danielledanielle I don't think it's coming too Sephora Canada sadly, it looks like this line might disappear from here or they are just seriously downsizing the range. I can't wait to see irl swatches from anyone who picks this up. 🤩

@CynthieLu, ugh Canada does get the short end of it, but a lot of the items for PMG have disappeared off the US site, with a lot of what remains OOS'ed.  Seeing PAT McGRATH LABS MOTHERSHIP XII Eyeshadow Palette: Petalmorphosis gives me hope it's not leaving Sephora completely, but it definitely seems like a down-size across the board...although the US's largest Sephora still has a full gondola for PMG, a lot of Sephora's here don't really have it in store vs the brand's first appearance.

On the Canadian app all but two pallets have been removed from minis to full size, and I don't believe they put out any new release FS palette's after Divine Rose I ( except the big holiday one) I dunno, they are pretty expensive so I can't complain. I might not have bought any but I did like looking at them online here. 🙃 @danielledanielle 

It was similar here, not every store carried them. I went to a really big store in Toronto when I was out there visiting and it was neat because they had PMG right on the shelves. I agree, it does seem to be downsized atm.

@danielledanielle  Now that the product pages at Sephora and Pat’s site are live, complete with swatches, I can confidently say this Mothership will join my collection. 

• Only one rose shade! (Some might call Lunar Nectar mauve but, to me, it looks straight-up rose in the promo photos.) 
• Those purples are singing to me. 
• THAT SPARKLY GREEN! 
• I have no problem with a purple + green color story. I don’t care who calls it the Mardi Gras palette. Dude, Mardi Gras is fun! 
• I still miss Pat’s baked “special” shade formulas in Motherships, but these Astral and Blitz pans do seem to swatch beautifully. 

I suspect some of Pat’s older shades are very close to a few of these. (I’m sure there will be shade comparison videos soon.) I’m still getting this palette though. I’m so shocked by a not-all-pink Mothership, I feel obligated to grab it. 😂 Really though, I do love this color story. And hey, I got another Rouge Reward this week; how fortuitous! Or I can get it for $0 OOP at Ulta or Nordstrom if it drops at either retailer. 

I see Pat’s offering a LE purple case at her site. Is it my imagination, or is that case slightly bigger than the usual black case? And it’s designed a bit different inside. Interesting. Normally I’d want the purple case just so I can very quickly find Petalmorphosis amongst the Motherships on my shelf. But I’d have to order it direct from Pat and lose my steep discount from other retailers, so I’m not planning to buy that one. I’m just curious about the case design.

@WinglessOne @danielledanielle about d-mn time, honestly lol . @WinglessOne I agree with a lot of what you said. I feel obliged to purchase this considering how much trash I’ve been talking about the brand for the past 2 years lol. I do really like the color story, too. What a coincidence that it released right after the news that PMG is heading the LV makeup launch 🤔 I’ll probably use a Rouge Reward or Ulta points as well. I wish I could get that purple case but the difference in price isn’t worth it to me, either. I hope the Astral formulas are good, they didn’t get the best reviews for the last launch.

@makeitup305& @WinglessOne , I remember DR I (or was it II) having a colored case that resurfaced later, but I want this soonish, so I doubt I'd pay for it or wait for it, but putting it out there for those who want to chance it.

I am happy for this, too...I am interested in LV, but doubt I'd actually purchase it.

@danielledanielle  I remember it first coming out with DR 1, selling out and then coming back out again. They also did one for DR 2. I loved the one that was a pink metallic but didn’t purchase it. As much as I like the purple, unless it comes out on Ulta or Sephora and I can use my point, I’m not getting it. 

I feel the same about LV. I don’t usually purchase designer makeup, since my current makeup style is more over the top than usually comes out from designer brands (plus the price lol). I’m sure it’ll be stunning, but unless PMG puts some out some baked quads, it’ll probably be a skip.

The timing’s definitely interesting. “Petalmorphosis” was filed for trademark in 2021, and I wonder if this palette was always in mind for that name. (Eh, some products take a few years to bring to market.) I’m glad to see it launching soon. I know I’m not the only one wondering what Pat’s LV collection will look like… hopefully it’s not all pink/rose. Well, unless a very pink LV makeup line gives her someplace besides her own brand to channel her love of rose, so her brand’s makeup can be all the other pretty colors. 😂

@WinglessOne  I’m thinking it’s going to be similar to what we’ve seen from Guerlain and YSL - mostly neutral quads with the occasional bright colorful one but we’ll see. Her quads were usually very fun so hopefully it’s more like that. I wonder about lipstick formula and whether there will be something similar to the Luxetranve, which I loved.

I'm surprised Petalmorphosis wasn’t a full collection. It would have been the perfect opportunity to add one or two new powder blushes, lipsticks or a highlighter.

I stumbled on this tag a week ago and was like .."I didn't remember this, but must of missed it when it came out, Candy Crush was such a thing back in the day .". Turns out, 😂, didn't miss it.  Also, I just think it's packaging 🤷🏽‍♀️

ETA: there are nail polishes? 😑🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly, this collab doesn’t make sense. Not a fan of repackaging existing products and the packaging is kinda ugly. If PMG is going to do a collab, do one that makes sense, maybe partner with a luxury brand that doesn’t have its own makeup line

lol @danielledanielle, I was late in finding out about this collab and when I did, I thought I inadvertently clicked on the landing page to a previous collab - I only saw the packaging and didn't see the Candy Crush logo and I thought it was a holiday release that I missed. 😬  Like @teufel, I would have preferred (and usually always do) that it would be new shades and not just permanent shades in limited edition packaging, though I will say, I like that the LE packaging is of the component itself and not just the box it comes in.  It's not a collab I would have seen happening in my mind but I read somewhere that she really likes Candy Crush so more power to her for doing a project with a brand she likes and giving us a glimpse into that. 

Now, as for a luxe collab ... I am very interested to see how Louis Vuitton enters the makeup space with Pat McGrath at the helm.

@danielledanielle  Yep, it’s all repackaged existing shades—except maybe the nail polishes. First time Pat released polishes was for her Supreme collab, and I don’t remember if a gold shade was in there. I do recall the red shade. It was probably “Supreme” red instead of Elson, but I could be wrong about that. I think there was a black shade too, and/or a white one. 

Considering how colorful Candy Crush is, and how far Pat could’ve pushed this collab into editorial/unconventional color territory, I was disappointed when I saw the email this morning. I do still play Candy Crush Saga, but I’m not buying any of this just for the packaging. The only thing I’d consider is the gold nail polish, but I need to make sure I don’t already have a very close dupe.

Here are the ingredients for the Glass 001 Artistry Mask in case anyone is interested. I got them through an email from PMG customer service. They couldn't tell me where it was made, though.
