D'oh, I forgot to mention these 4 bits of news Pat mentioned during yesterday's masterclass: 

1. Mothership IV Decadence might soon be permanent instead of limited edition. Hooray! Pat said "I hope [it'll be permanent now]," which tells me it's probably been more costly and/or complicated (formulation-wise) to produce this palette than the other Motherships. 
2. More things are launching this year; no details were given, though. Such a tease! 
3. A certain kit is returning this year (Pat did tell us what that one is but, you know, it's supposed to be a masterclass audience secret) and I think I heard Pat say at least part of it’s been reformulated. 
4. A mask is launching soon, using the same pink Subversive print as the Dark Star Mascara box. (Anti-cootie-spread mask, not skincare mask. 😂) 

One of the looks created during the class used Mothership VIII's pink pigment, Rose Seduction, as both eyeshadow and blush—which is one of the ways I'd planned to use it myself, in lieu of a new line of PMG blush, which some of us asked for in the class chat room. Anyway, Rose Seduction is so bold, it looks like it'll take a light hand and a very fluffy diffusing brush to get a soft wash of color on the cheeks. A bold cheek is easier to do with it, as evidenced by the look we saw. 

Oh, and I think Pat might post recordings of masterclasses (either partial or whole, I don't know) at some point at PMG direct. There might even be some clips posted already of previous video sessions; I keep forgetting to check. 

I also forgot to ask in the chatroom if the LuxeTrances are coming back or being discontinued. 😩I'll be sad if they're leaving for good, unless something even better's coming to replace them.

@WinglessOne Thanks for the update.  I wish I was able to attend.  It was sold out when I tried to register.  I love Pat McGrath's eye shadows.

@tjffc  I hope you're able to attend a future masterclass! Pat's makeup artists did all the work on models in this one, but Pat was very present—super engaged—throughout, and it was fun watching her periodically apply makeup on herself.

Hopefully she will produce multiple prints of her face masks @sonnydee @WinglessOne. I will probably purchase by the dozen. Also it needs to be produced in cotton.

@Loretta55  @sonnydee  If she releases a mask using the Subliminal palette design, I'll be VERY tempted to buy one. I'm pretty sure the upcoming mask is cotton but I could be wrong. Pat tried it on to show us and, apparently, the mask is so new, not even all her makeup artists knew about it yet. 😄 

I realize PMG merch is generally overpriced, so it'll be interesting to see this mask's price tag. I've stopped myself many times from buying the MET Decadence t-shirt simply because USD $45 (or even $36 at 20% discount) is more than I want to spend on a 100% cotton t-shirt.

PMG Direct did release a face mask today @WinglessOne. It is in the Dark Star pattern. Cost is $18.00 and it is OOS. I was disappointed to see that the material was a blend of 50% polyester 50% cotton.

Masterclass is still going, but here are my quick notes on the new Dark Star Mascara (product page is up at PMG direct): 

PMG Dark Star Mascara

• Launches July 14 
• New formula (not the same as FetishEyes) 
• Hourglass brush 
• Smudgeproof and water-resistant (not waterproof) 
• Gold cylinder packaging 
• Available in FS and mini 
• Won't replace FetishEyes; both mascaras will be available

Performance difference between the 2 PMG mascaras: 

• Dark Star focuses more on lift than FetishEyes (“antigravity”). Gives instant volume, length, definition, and lift. 
• FetishEyes is more buildable. It also gives length, volume, and definition, but requires more layers. 

Once upon a time, I compared FetishEyes to my favorite mascara, Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Vol. 2. FetishEyes took 1-1.5 more coats than LLv2 to make my short lashes pop. I hope Dark Star is more of a match for LLv2, without killing my eyeballs. (95+% of mascaras on the market irritate the hell out of my eyes.) I'm willing to try a mini to find out. 🙂

@KNC24  During this masterclass, she and her makeup artists said there'd be more classes, including one focusing on editorial looks that could probably run several hours long. 😄 I hope you're able to attend one!

Ouh kind of interested in this. I’ve had my eye on the new MJ at lashd but missed the promo for it. I’m usually not impressed by any mascaras , and have been using UD perversion the past several years. I thought i had a sample of the legendary lashes and can’t remember if i liked it. Usually the ones that everyone likes , weighs down my lashes. I was also interested in the new HG unlocked mascara coming out but i think from the promo it looks like a plastic wand.
