The Killer Heels Lipstick Coffret arrived today! Squeeeee! It's too dark to take pictures right now, but I'm going snap some tomorrow along with swatches. I've looked at all the shades and there is only one shade that seems far too light, Little Darling. Too nude, but I think it will be good to lighten darker shades or mix with a liner.

Im torn, and I need advice from my fellow Nars lovers.

Im in between the despair cheek palette and the one shocking moment palette. My skin complexion hovers around NC42 in Mac, Medium beige in BM, #155 in MUFE HD and G60 in custom cover drops. I cant decide which palette would look better on me! 

I know I will end up getting one of them, I just cant decide which one. HELP.

i got the shocking moment palette. the colors in it should look gorgeous on you i am sure.it seemed like a good value.im a sucker for all in one palette deals .haha

If you don't have any of the shades from the Sephora exclusive palette, I am going to say one moment palette!! It is better value as in having 4 blush shades, a contour set and a bronzer! Two of the blush shades are new and 2 are existing! I don't think you would have problem with any of the blushes showing up!! The despair palette though has 3 new blush shades but I am not big on that mini brush. So you would be paying almost the same amount for 4 shades here! Then again ultimately it depends on the blush shades that appeal to you!! Hth 🙂

That's tough.  I'm a little lighter than you, with warm (yellow to golden...depending on how you want to describe it) undertones who can wear the darker blushes.  I ended up getting Despair.  My thoughts...

One shocking moment has the contour ..if you'll use it...and Laguna.  I'm personally not a Laguna fan.  Laguna is a little orange on me and has a sheen.  I prefer either matte bronzers or those with a real shimmer.  Other people like Laguna more obviously as it sells well for Nars.  The blush shades are more everyday, overall.  Dolce vita is a lovely color...I already own it.

Despair has deeper and more dramatic (perhaps unusual is a better word) shades.  The blushes work every day but also fill some holes in my collection.  The highlighter is nice, but I really adore the blush shades (so pigmented and gorgeous).  But they are less every day shades.

I was intending to get neither but fell in love with the Despair palette.  I think with your coloring it will be stunning. So that's my vote.  I'm sure others will have opinions as well.

K, I have the Despair palette, and I think we are somewhat similar in skintone (I don't know my MAC #)

I find all the colors in this palette show up well on me and are flattering, and I quite like that Nico is a fairly matte highlighter.

With the One Shocking Moment palette - I think the big question is - do you contour or bronze?  If you do, that palette is probably a better idea, since it has the Paloma contour duo and a gigantic bronzer.  Two of the blushes in this palette are in the permanent collection (Luster and Dolce Vita) as well as the bronzer and the Paloma duo.   So, if you already have any of those, it probably isn't as good a value.  I have Paloma, Luster and Dolce Vita, and they all show up well on me.  I am not sure the far left lightest pink shade would...

That helps a lot! hmmmmm... I find myself reaching for Casino more so than laguna. I guess i know one of the colours that wont work for me.   hmmm I think I will probably end up with despair now that you guys mention that luster, dolce vita, paloma and laguna are all perma shades.. Probably makes more sense to get the despair palette.  So glad to have asked this here.. i had it in my cart ready to purchase lol 🙂

this is just my personal opinion, but I like the despair cheek palette better because I almost never use bronzer. Plus that mini ita brush is seriously too cute!
