What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

Christmas dinner.  Christmas Eve dinner was homemade pizza.  It's a tradition from when the kids were little; still works!

Linguine with burrata and lobster, antipasto salad, and tiramisu.

A delicious meal like that won't be around for long 😜 @Ispend2much6

Re: What's on your plate?

These look fantastic! A great treat 🙂 @CookieGirl1

Re: What's on your plate?

@CookieGirl1   But... your name!  You can't forget who you are. 🙂  They look yummy- molasses crinkles?

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 yup!  I seem to make these every year but I usually manage to make them a bit ahead of Christmas, not on the day of 🙄.  Fashionably late, I guess.

Re: What's on your plate?

Some recent adventure's with my sourdough 🍞

I've been working at getting the hang of English Muffins. My sister's recipe uses coconut oil in the skillet and a little honey in the dough.

I still need practice, I've tried a few times and I haven't been able to manage even ones like her's. And I want them to be fluffier. I think I'm going to have to call her and pick her brain a little, I need some guidance.

We do think they taste good thou and we've been enjoying them. 🙂 I love the slight hint of coconut from her recipe.

And *proud moment* my fluffiest loaf to date. I just baked it this morning and in a few hours when it cools I can cut into it and give it a proper taste test.

This is about double the rise I've been getting, and I like to think it's very airy and light on the inside. Fingers crossed!

Re: What's on your plate?

Wow that looks both beautiful and delicious! That is so cool that your making something like that homemade, it’s a lot of work but worth the reward so tasty! @CynthieLu

Re: What's on your plate?

That's how I feel about it @peculiarzmakeup it's definitely worth the work. It feels so good to eat something I've made myself. And slowly improving feels rewarding too. I'm a novice bread maker and it's been a fun thou slowish learning process. 😅

Re: What's on your plate?

That looks like fun time @CynthieLu .  Who cares what they look like, the taste is what counts.

Re: What's on your plate?

Thank you and you are right @CorgiMommy, the taste really is the important item here. A long as I have that down everything else is just a minor detail. 🍞💕

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh my gosh, @CynthieLu, that loaf looks AMAZEBALLS.  I bet it tastes absolutely delicious, too.

Re: What's on your plate?

The loaf turned out so well, thank you! @CookieGirl1 We cut into it for supper and I'm happy to say it was tasty!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu  It looks like it could float away any minute!  Beautiful (and, I'm sure, yummy.)

Re: What's on your plate?

Thank youuu! 💕 There's nothing like fresh bread. @Ispend2much6 I can't believe it turned out as good as it did. I just need to figure out the whole muffin thing next. 😉🍞
