Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
Easter Dinner and some desserts from different local bakerys 🐇🩵🩷💚
There was quite a few of us, so we had lots of help eating the sweets 😉
Lots of help eating the sweets? We’re all happy to help too @CynthieLu! It all looks so good! What’s the last dessert?
You all need to try bakery fresh macaroons if you haven't, they come in so many fun flavors @itsfi this little bakery makes the best locally-owned imo, and pretty fun combinations 😍
They are pretty good hit and a great festive treat 😋
The last dessert is a traditional German Chocolate Cake, the topping is an almost carmel with coconut mixed throughout 👌 yum!
Ooooh those look too cute to eat! Almost... I would definitely eat those 😉 happily 😊
Yummy! @SportyGirly125 what kind of flavours? I can only imagine super creative
Those sound delicious! 🥲 @SportyGirly125 I'm jelly of these treats 😄
They were the highlight of this meal @blackkitty2014
Thank you love!:🌸🙂
@CynthieLu Everything looks delicious! I hope you had a wonderful Easter 🐣😊💗
What a great Easter meal @CynthieLu! Looks delicious! 😋
I was scrolling through social media and came across Korean marinated eggs. Didn’t know they were a thing until now. The eggs are soft-boiled, but you could do medium or hard if you prefer. The marinade is 2:1 soy sauce to water, plus minced garlic, red chilies, green onion, sesame seeds, and a few teaspoons of honey (could do brown or even white sugar in a pinch). I had most of the ingredients but substituted gochujang instead of chilies. I had it with rice and some roasted seaweed (forgot to include them in the photo). I let them marinate for a 20 minutes, but only ate a couple for dinner. The rest are still marinating overnight for lunch tomorrow. They’re sweet, salty, spicy, delicious!
Mmmm, I love marinated eggs. ♥️ Thank you for the recipe @JoSometimes. It looks and sounds delicious! 😋
You’re welcome @itsfi! Let me know how it goes if you make a batch. 😊
My mom used to made something similar when we grow up. She put some pork’s in as well @JoSometimes
@blackkitty2014 That sounds good. I may need to give that a try next time I make some.
Oooh yum I have heard of these @JoSometimes I never made them thou. (I was looking at ways to make ramen more interesting 😉 and they popped up) Your experiment makes me want to give it a try. This looks delicious 😀
@CynthieLu I do fancy instant ramen on days when I either have leftovers to get rid of or if I forgot to defrost something the night before. Sometimes I’ll add an egg if I want to add a quick and easy protein. This was corn, spinach, leftover dumplings, and miso (which is mixed into the broth).
Ohhhhh yummy @JoSometimes 🤩
These are two recent ones, it's just on a bed of spinach with some sausages and crispy onion
This one is just sautéed bok choy, peppers and mushrooms with a random raw tomato lol
Dumplings, that's the way to go! Love it 😁
