Some of us here have expressed an interest in a book club, myself, @mermadelove, @LCResz, @ZombieMetroAnt, @Mcakes. If you'd be interested in joining, reply below. My initial thought was to mail the books around but if it means that some people can't participate, then I'm all for dropping that requirement. I'd love this to be a place where we nominate our favorite book and others can read it and comment. Something fun for the new year! ETA: the booklist:

OK, I'll give your spot to someone else. @GG84, sorry you won't be participating.
Oooh can I still join?! I love books and I'm in a bit of a reading rut right now...
Yay! @kalex 🙂 So glad you are back playing and reading with us!!!
Sure @kalex and @tsavorite- I'll PM you the link. Think of this group as you can participate as much as you want, if you get behind in a book or something, there's always another coming down the line.
This is a great idea! I have never been in a book club, but I read all the time. I don't know about reading something chosen by someone else? Is that what happens, a book is chosen and everyone reads and discusses that one book? I may need to be an informal observer or participant.
Thank you!
I sent everyone (hopefully) a link to the Google form, if you didn't receive one, PM me and I'll resend. Let the voting begin, looking forward to all your suggestions. Again, many thanks to @skcfan for setting up the form, she's a genius!
Thank you so much @prettyinpa and @skcfan for organizing this!
@prettyinpa @skcfan Thanks for ding this!!! Do you want us to fill all ten slots???
Sorry, @mermadelove and other participants, feel free to fill out as many of the 10 slots as you wish, I personally am having a hard time coming up with 10, but it's better to have more slots than less if someone has a big list.
@mermadelove I don’t think you need to fill all 10...I just didn’t want to make it too short.
I'll try to fit as many "book club friendly" suggestions I can on my list! I tend to read non-fiction, usually about psychology or human nature and behavior in some way, shape, or form, but those aren't interesting to everybody haha. I still might sneak Freakomonics on the list though 😋
@alexasteph haha, that's me! I read almost exclusively non-fiction, lots of econ, business, and pub policy. I can just picture the book club looking at my list...zzzzzzzzzz...
If you liked Freakanomics, another good read (though it's probably a bit dated by now) is Naked Economics by Wheelan.
@MissPuff Me too! Haha. I also read books about decision making, the brain, etc. A lot of that ties in to behavioral economics, as well as traditional economics and psychology. Unless you're interested in those topics, they can be quite boring! I haven't heard of Naked Economics, I'll look it up!
