Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Whether this is your first time tuning into wellness bingo on BIC or you've tried your hand at this before, welcome! 👋
march bingo form.jpg
What is this about?
Simply put, it's about focusing on our personal wellness, in a fun way à la a game of bingo.

Self-care can be a very personal thing - what works for one person may not work for someone else. Practicing wellness is a process - it takes time and effort. We have our good days and bad days - moments when we are thriving; and others where we need to pause, take a deep breath (or multiple ones, for that matter) and reset. But even as our self-care journey is a personal matter, support, encouragement and just knowing there's something there doesn't hurt.

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Great job @AdellVagsA! Sorry glad to hear this thread has been helpful!! 😊

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@AdellVagsA, you have such a great approach to looking after your wellbeing. Doing what you can, when you can, and working on and towards consistency is an important part of making wellness a part of your overall wellbeing. Kudos to you! Happy to hear you are able to get in some time outside; hopefully the spring will be bringing warmer weather to all so that there will be more of those outdoor times ahead.

Spring bucket list was a lot fun to put together. Mine’s a bunch of random things I’ve wanted to do but never get around to doing, like doing a tour yesterday of the glass art and gardens exhibit. That one is going back on the list to do again when they change out the exhibit pieces.

All the things in second column was done during the first couple of days last week. I must of caught a cold on the flight back home and I was drinking a ton of water and getting to bed early for a few days. I watched movies when I wasn't sleeping.

Made a delicious lasagna tonight with some fresh produce, ground beef and cheese from the farmers' market. Bookmarking that recipe, it was quick and simple, only 4 ingredients.

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@eshores  great job, your visit to the glass art and garden exhibit sounds so fun - I think I would definitely enjoy that! Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well, I hope you are feeling better now!

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Such a great job @eshores! A glass art exhibit sounds so fun! I'm happy you got to experience that!

..... and lasagna? Yum! That is one of my favorite foods, even better when it's easy to make!

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Ummm, are we dropping that recipe??? 🧐😁 @eshores

I feel like movie watching while sick is like sub resting.  You're not refreshed, but relaxed

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@danielledanielle ha! sure sure, it's https://thesouthernladycooks.com/lazy-lasagna/

It's called Easy Lazy Lasagna like the name says it all. 😂 I got it from the Southern Lady Cooks blog.

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Oh, that glass art and gardens exhibit sounds interesting @eshores. You mentioned it being changed out, I'm assuming they change out the glass art? Or, is there a way they do the gardens that that gets changed out as well? Sorry to hear you caught a bug, but it sounds like you are on the mend / fully recovered. Any good movies you recommend?

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@itsfi they change out both - the glass art and the gardens. It's very cool. I don't know about recommend but I watched alll the Oscar movies. IT was more to be able to keep up with talking about them at work but to be honest, some of the more heavier or ones that made you think just made me fall asleep. They were good I was too tired from being sick to think too much. LOL.

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@eshores I do hope you are feeling better! Art exhibits sound so fun, I wish we had them near me. We have small ones, but I want to go to a big fancy one.

Fruits and veggies and healthy meal - someone here made fajitas once and loved that idea. Made it a couple of times this week, once fully loaded with veggies and another w/ shrimp and veggies 😋

Get outdoors and hydrate - weekend hikes

Exercise or stretch and healthy meal go hand and hand with me on weekends - it’s either a hike and brunch with my boyfriend and some weekends with him and his kids or it’s yoga and brunch with a friend.

Celebrate someone - my boyfriend’s younger daughter got a part in her school play
Celebrate small wins - dropped a jean size 🙌 but I might have gained it back with all the cake I had to celebrate 😆
Celebrate a stranger - complimented the nurse at the blood bank on her earrings they were adorable

these celebrate ones have been super fun and creative btw @itsfi

Spring into skincare and treat yourself - got a new moisturizer and body was

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@adamsev  amazing job! Love your 'celebrate' items, and congrats on the weight loss, I know it is not easy, so good for you!

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Thanks girl, I'm trying, appreciate the encouragement @caitbird

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Ooouh, that's a great bingo @adamsev, congrats! And you're close to a couple more, too! Nice!

Pairing an physical activity with a healthy meal after is such a great idea! And, you're getting time in with loved ones too, that's wonderful! Fun to get some new beauty products too, to usher in spring; which moisturizer and body wash did you pick up?

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

I got the new amika body butter and body wash smells amazing. The packaging is bright pink too so that helped persuade me. I skipped the oil because I think it will be too heavy for me but I would 100% test it if my store gets it. @itsfi

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@adamsev Congrats on that bingo! Ooh that cake will get you everytime!

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Right, but totes worth it. It's a good thing I gave the rest of it away because not gonna lie, I had the midnight munchies and was craving it. @Samtian

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@adamsev  Such a great job getting things checked off! Your weekend of exercise and food sound so nice!! 😃

...... and YUM! Fajitas sound delicious - never done them with shrimp before though! Will definitely need to try that sometime! 😋

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Shrimp fajitas are bomb! if shrimp wasn't so expensive i'd make it more but it's a special treat for us for now. @Shosh85

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

Got in a few activities so far. Going to do more spring cleaning and quiet time this weekend.

Spring Bucket List: Jotted down about half a dozen activities, some carry overs of things I haven't been able to do, some self-care related, and some rainy day activities just in case we're not quite done with the rain here; and made sure to carve out some time to do one and check it off the list!

Get Outdoors (Remember SPF & H2O): I went for a very long walk the other day - the sun was finally out for more than just a couple of hours, the weather was pleasant, and there were some gorgeous views of the marina. I completely forgot that my walk back home included blocks and blocks and blocks of steep inclines - so many blocks, so many inclines, soooo steep. Oh my word. I lost count of the number of times I stopped part way to think about whether NOW was the time I should call an Uber / Lyft to come get me. Hahahaha! But, I didn't. I made it back home eventually and lemme tell ya, I slept very well that night.

Spring Cleaning: I needed a distraction this week and decided to get a jump start of some spring cleaning - I focused on the kitchen, a couple of hallway closets, and downsizing my stash of lip liners. I can check off another one of my Beauty Goals for 2026 now that I've cut my lip liner collection in half. I may be able to pare what I have remaining even more but that will be a project for another day.

Quiet Time: Journaling accounts for most of my quiet time activities, and when it comes to journaling, I usually go with a free writing approach. Lately, however, I've also started incorporating a reflective journal into my practice. It's not always warm fuzzies, but, then again, self-care isn't always about that. It's been good though and that is what matters.

Re: Working Towards Wellness: March 2026

@itsfi  awesome job! Good for you for decluttering your lip liner collection, and for not giving up on that more challenging than expected walk! You are reminding/inspiring me to do some more Beauty decluttering and reflective journaling, too.
