@Samtian, I realized I hadn't done any beauty related stampers and this is BIC 😆, and, with really trying to figure out what an ideal, manageable beauty collection looks like for me going forward and the Beauty Challenge -- Twelve Months of Beauty Inventory, beauty related stampers sounded like a fun one this month.
Oh, the liners. I have a general idea of how large or small (or not small 🙄) my collection is for most of the categories but the pile of lip liners really caught me off guard. I was in a mood that particular day so I decided to make use of it and was just brutal about what stays, what goes, and what gets repurposed. Now to make sure I put what I have to use.
@itsfi I'm very grateful for the pencil holders that I believe it was @WinglessOne shared a long while back haha. They keep my liners very visible.
Yeah @Samtian, it was definitely "out of sight, out of mind" for them for a while and that bag filled up far faster than even I could have imagined. 😣 I have a plan going forward to keep moving through them and being more selective in which ones I purchase and when. Now, we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed 🤞 that I actually stick with the plan for more than a couple of days. 🤣
Fantastic job, @itsfi! Your long walk sounds like it was strenuous! Good for you for not giving up!
I'm glad you added spring cleaning to the BINGO - I think there's a lot of us here who need that extra motivation! 🙋😉 Looks/sounds like you're off to a great start!
The next walk I went on after that was completely flat @Shosh85, zero hills or incline 😂 the latter of which isn't easy to find in the city but I was like I'm on an incline strike this week. Walking up and down the stairs to get to the house was all I could take. 🤣
Oh good! I sometimes don't get to spring cleaning until near the end of the season so this is a good reminder and motivator for me as well. To do it and to be practical about it, taking it in bite-size pieces. I actually dropped off some things at Goodwill, instead of letting bags of clothes and shoes pile up in the closet until ... next spring. 🙄😆 Now, I just have to keep this up with the other rooms in the house. 🤞
I'm so bad at those brain teasers but should maybe give something a try. Do you think the wordle or connections would be better for someone not great with things like brain teasers? Mind sharing what you put down for your bucket list? Love to hear what people do.
@adamsev, you may be being too hard on yourself. I'm on the position that there's probably a brain teaser for most everyone, but it's about finding the one that best matches up with your particular style or how your mind might instinctively process things. Not that a different style game can't be learned but most of us may gravitate more to a particular kind of brain teaser more naturally than others. That said, Wordle and Connections have some features that are unique to them that might help you decide which you want to try first.
Both involve words. Wordle is about trying to figure out the 5-letter word of the day. No hints or clues (or at least none that I'm aware of) as to the nature of the word or its origin or whether its a noun, verb, adjective, adverb. You have 6 tries to guess the word of the day. Connections, on the other hand, is about word association where you try to decipher the connections among 16 words - 4 groups of 4 words are somehow connected.
Both have their level of difficulty, but I'd say overall Wordle is probaby easier in the sense that it's more straightforward and it's always a 5-letter word. Connections can be a challenge in terms of the type of category or connections between the words - some involve topics that are more every day, common knowledge type things but some may involve words that are connected by something very niche (Hall of Fame baseball players or things with feet or house styles, etc.)
I say give both a try - try doing both for a few weeks, doesn't have to be every day. But a few tries so you have a good idea for the two games. It'll also give you chances to get in different levels of game play - easy, hard, medium.
Thanks, you're always so nice and encouraging. that's not a bad idea, i can try them both out a couple of times a week for the rest of the month. wish me luck. @itsfi
Heh, I got out for some walks too, one day it was particularly rainy and I decided not to walk back 🤣... Good on you for pushing forward, your heart thanks you, your legs probably hate you 🤷🏽♀️ @itsfi
😂🤣😂 @danielledanielle, next time I may push through just enough to get to the corner of a street - to make it easier to get into the Lyft/Uber. 😂
Sorry for my absence
Gratitude - so happy I went for a second opinion . I finally got some answers to what is going on with me after 2 surgeries! I have never felt better in my life, on the road to being myself again.
Exercise - continuing resistance training, I highly recommend it
Brain teasers - still doing my daily NYT wordle, connections and Strands. Tomorrow Connections has its 1000 puzzle and I have done all of them. (I dont know if that is a good thing or not)
Get outdoors - even with the lack of snow here i have gone out on a beautiful snowshoe hike and even had a moose cross the trail in front of me about 500 feet away.
Spring cleaning - started my annual clean out and organize the closets
Quiet time - daily one on one time with each of my corgis just cuddling.
@CorgiMommy so glad to hear you are feeling better and your health journey is going well, I'm happy for you! 🤗 Love your snowshoe hike & moose sighting, and of course cuddling with your corgis!
BTW, no need to apologize for your absence, I totally get it - sometimes, you just get busy with life and other things. We are just happy to see you here whenever you're able to post 💜
I’m so glad you’re getting better, @CorgiMommy! 💓
@CorgiMommy Oh that is so amazing you finally have answers and are feeling better!!! Great work!
@CorgiMommy I'm so happy that you finally got some answers and are feeling better!!
I love seeing wildlife in person! Don't see a lot of moose here, but there are a TON of deer! So fun! Nice job checking off boxes! 😃
@CorgiMommy, resistance training is a great form of exercise. Loved that you had a moose sighting on your walk.
Glad to hear you are on your way to feeling like yourself again.
