Monthly Favorites: August 2021 Edition!

August! I feel like I was just getting to know you and now it’s already almost time to usher you out the door. 😎✌ It’s safe to say I spent this month adding a little extra glow to my no-makeup-makeup routine, including experimenting with different bronzer applications, and really pushing the longevity of my hairstyle between washes. I guess you could say this month’s faves are a little uncharacteristically subtle for me, but nothing wrong with embracing all the easy-breezy relaxed vibes for summer – at least when it comes to my beauty routine!

@greeneyedgirl107. Briogeo has two co-washes. So far I've only tried the quinoa one.

Everytime, literally, I find someone who really knows how to cut curly hair, they quit! Just like our favorite family restaurants end up closing. Sephora better be in good shape!

Let me know what you think of the co-wash, and I hope you try the detangler sometime.

@Ispend2much6 I'm so sorry you've lost so many stylists.  That really sucks!  And you're right about restaurants - even before the pandemic too many standalone ones closed.

I didn't know Briogeo had two co-washes.  I guess I hadn't looked into it enough.  I wanted to get my haircut this week, but just didn't get around to it for various reasons.  I'm hoping taking a couple inches off will help overall, but I do want to see what else I can do.

Definitely need to try that dry shampoo, @AlexBT,. I've loved everything else from that line. And the Laura Mercier Caviar sticks are always winners. (Wishing Sephora Canada can get Paula's Choice soon!!).

Tower 28 Beauty BeachPlease Lip + Cheek Dewy Cream Blush Golden Hour is perfection. Yes, I'm behind but these were OOS often at Sephora Canada. 

SEPHORA COLLECTION Lip Blush Blotted Matte Lipstick 9 Desert Cloud is a lovely soft matte. 

SEPHORA COLLECTION Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick 68 Candy Love is one of my favorite formulas in a color I didn't think I'd love but is amazing. Thank you so much, @TeamBIC!! 

Mediheal A:Pe mask is so soothing. Perfect for using after picking back up on the exfoliation this month.

@haleyvvvv Tower 28 makes amazing blushes and bronzers!  And I've been such a fan of the formula of the SEPHORA COLLECTION Cream Lip Stain 10HR Liquid Lipstick as well; I have three sitting in my cart right now, lol.

I really want to try one of their bronzers, but it takes me so long to get through any, I'm going to hold off for now, but food to know that they're good!! 

Oh yes, the SC lippies are just one of the best best formulas. Totally need to add some to my cart as well, @CookieGirl1!!

August 2021 Summer Loves

Summer romance: Sonia G brushes, I'm loving the cheek from the Lotus set and Sculpt One something ffierce.. Sculpt one is so fluffy.  It's so good at dispersing powder but making it look light and airbrushed.

Summer side pieces: Viseart Dark Mattes.  This whole month, I've been using this palette on the side (hence the name), it's such a complementary palette.

Toppik hair powder is my other side piece.  I've got some hair loss happening, and this powder has helped keep it on the low.

Summer crushes: #Too Faced Mr Cover-Up Perfect Concealer Brush It's spongy, yet stuff.  I've been with mr for a while, but realized I've been using this brush every day.

The will I/won't I: Picked up the

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dual-Ended Filling and Detailing Eyebrow Brush #14during the same, but didn't really get the hang of it until this month.  Nearly every day, someone compliments me on my brow.

The fling: #NATASHA DENONA Macro Blade Liquid Eyeliner Black .  Got the mini when I got mini xenon and I knew I was going to upgrade.  I love a brush tip liner, but this pen is super skinny and such a deep, inky black that I had to give up the brush liner for a spell

BAE #belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb This is my first full sized, I've always had the little ones that come with sets.  It's my favorite eye cream, ever.

I kept meaning to take a nice picture as I actually had a few favorites this month, but life got in the way and seeing how this is the last day of the month I'm going to post my favorite thing I bought. So I purchased the Sephora Favorites New at Sephora Perfume Sampler Set and I fell in LOVE with Juliette has a gun PEAR INC. . I can't even begin to describe the scent on me - it's like kinda musky with a faint sweetness and a really nice green note to it (sorry describing fragrance is not my strong suit). I just can't get enough of this stuff. It's become my go-to fragrance and is in heavy rotation along with my CHANEL CHANCE EAU TENDRE Eau de Parfum # andCHANEL COCO MADEMOISELLE Eau de Parfum Intense . I also finally found a foundation that works for my dry skin - Chanel les beiges healthy glow. If you have dry skin and are really struggling I highly recommend this one. I've been trying to find something that works for almost 3 years now and I'm just so thankful that Chanel extended their shade range on this foundation.

@niki172  Adding Pear Inc. to my fragrance trial list. I love complex fragrances, but also some simpler ones. This one sounds more on the simple side, and that's not a bad thing at all. How long does this fragrance last on you?

@WinglessOne I'm so sorry I didn't see this until now! It lasts 8+ hours on me AND if it's telling my kitten rubbed up against my arm where I had sprayed it (it had dried down by then) and his fur smelled soooo good. I did wash it off of him - no perfume chemicals for my babies.
