Monthly Favorites: August 2021 Edition!

August! I feel like I was just getting to know you and now it’s already almost time to usher you out the door. 😎✌ It’s safe to say I spent this month adding a little extra glow to my no-makeup-makeup routine, including experimenting with different bronzer applications, and really pushing the longevity of my hairstyle between washes. I guess you could say this month’s faves are a little uncharacteristically subtle for me, but nothing wrong with embracing all the easy-breezy relaxed vibes for summer – at least when it comes to my beauty routine!

@niki172 Hands down the La Mer is way better in my opinion. It’s universal and the perfect glow from within. I wish I could just send you guys samples of it so you could see how good it is. Plus a little goes a long way.

@niki172 @eshoe I also wanted to mention that the La Mer one is thicker than the Saie, more like a cream/lotion and not as glittery/shimmery.  Definitely easier to blend out without that heavy scent.

The La Mer The Hydrating Illuminator 1.4 oz/ 41 mL caught my eye, @AlexBT. I will have to do a little research to see how best to use it. I usually mix in a little glowy-goodness with my foundation, and this looks like it might be a great option for extra hydration, too!

@eshoe you can mix it into foundation, put in on top of your foundation, wear in under foundation.  So many options.

@eshoe Just giving you a heads up that Niki172 had no issues with the videos and watched them and said she is adding it on her wish list. So I guess I convinced her. Haha.

@eshoe Yes I've also been mixing with my foundation - especially because straight foundation feels a little too heavy for me after taking such a long break from my full-face routine! But definitely want to try adding it on for extra glow as a separate layer.

@AlexBT that is how I have been using the Saie Glowy Super Gel Lightweight Dewy Multipurpose Illuminator. I bet the La Mer would be great for winter!

@eshoe Patrick Ta did a video last year using it. Let me see if I can find it and I will send it to you. I apply it as the last step in the morning before sunscreen.  It gives a glow from within look.

The intense moonlight LM eyeshadow sticks is one of my favs for a quick eye lock @AlexBT . The briogeo is one I just got a travel size to try out!

Funny you should ask as I just purchased bed of roses. Haven’t worn it yet but excited to try it! @AlexBT

I love the Briogeo dry shampoo @AlexBT, it is so good and I love the scent!

@faeriegirl Yes it's been a holy grail for me for a little while! I switch between this one and the amika Mini Perk Up Dry Shampoo 1 oz/ 44 mL depending on how dry my hair is feeling. Sometimes I prefer a powder, in which case Briogeo all the way!

I kind of forgot about the Nécessaire The Body Lotion - Firming Moisturizer With 5 Peptides and 2.5% Niacinamide 6.8 oz / 200 m... but I found this sample and I really do like it! 

ive also been living the Tatcha The Kissu Hydrating & Plumping Lip Mask Original - it’s so luxurious
