Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐Ÿ’— Post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcome.

This Weekโ€™s Theme: Masks that Make You Hungry ๐Ÿ˜‹Is it the scent..or the packaging? Which masks make you crave a yummy treat? It is no surprise that this weekโ€™s delicious theme is brought to you by none other than @itsfi! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿต

Mask of the Week Misc. Info & Previous Year's Links:

To Post:

Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas.

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: Mask of the Week Challenge

Such a good one every time @Kim888 ! I need more masks like this!

Re: Mask of the Week Challenge

Ohhh @missjeanie great choices!!

Re: Mask of the Week Challenge

It was one of those days where it all came together @lmaster !

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Glossy and Glossier masking for last night:

The Nuori Supreme Moisture Mask is a repeat, and a current go-to for masking I donโ€™t have to think about; I can forget Iโ€™m wearing it. It absorbs completely after around 25 minutes, but I still rinse my face before moving in to a sheet mask. I applied a little of the Glossier balm dotcom, which seems more like an all-purpose deep conditioning salve than a lil gloss to me. It is very similar (though slightly thicker) than the Innisfree balms in consistency, for reference.

The Whamisa Organic Seeds Hydro Gel mask is one Iโ€™ve been eyeing for awhile, so I was very excited to try it.

This was easily the thinnest hydrogel Iโ€™ve ever tried, tucked inside a single protective layer. The pale translucent citrine-hued mask has a faint, soft scent of marigolds, lightly herbaceous and gently similar to Kiehlโ€™s Calendula toner. The fit was near perfect, and for a hydrogel, adhered exceptionally well. It wore more like a biocellulose, in fact. I left it on for at least a half an hour; both parts! Usually the bottom half is removed after a few minutes out of frustration. Not the case with this one. After removing, zero tackiness. My skin looked fresh and slightly plumped. There are a couple of other masks in this line that I hope to try; organic fruits and organic flowers. This is a definite repurchase!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe what a lovely masking session!  Everything looks like it all came together for a wonderful session.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I would like to pick up more of this mask, but unless they go on sale, will limit myself to trying the other versions for now @missjeanie. Itโ€™s unfortunate because it was so good, my skin looooved it!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe your masking session reads like a dream, can you rewrite 2020 for us? ๐Ÿ˜‚ But seriously, those masks sound awesome!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica if only โ˜บ๏ธ

I just noticed you can see the mask in the Ingredient photo; the yellow shows through the packaging. Itโ€™s great but something in the future I would use for a special occasion as Iโ€™m pretty frugal when it comes to masks. $6 for a single use, I just donโ€™t know...

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Yep, that's definitely spendy @eshoe

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Love those thin hydrogel masks @eshoe

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

This was the thinnest, @lmaster! I wish they were less, I cringe at spending more than a few $ on a mask๐Ÿคจ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  I've never heard of Whamisa

but this mask sounds wonderful! I'll have to add this to my list - do you remember where you bought it?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I think you would really like this one, @Shosh85. I found it on iHerb, they have the other two I mentioned as well. They carry a variety of k-beauty masks & other products, and ship fast!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  Good to know! I'm pretty sure I've bought something from that site before ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

The Whamisa mask sounds really lovely, @eshoe!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

It really was, @quspork. Iโ€™ve been interested in calming/soothing masks more recently, and this one fit the bill nicely ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Wednesdays masking

So I started off this morning using the farmskin kale mask.  Guys... I think Kale is disgusting.  This qualifies as a mask of the week for me lol.  All that said, this mask had no real scent to it, and had the same mask texture and fit as the other farmskin masks, it had a lot of serum soaked into the fabric and fit nicely.  I keept it on for 20 minutes while I got my coffee ready and convinced myself that I did indeed need to go to work (I'm not much for mornings).  After removal I'll honestly tell you my skin just looked like it always does after a face mask, a bit more hydrated, a bit more bouncy, but nothing crazy out the ordinary wowing.  Now... After having my skincare and make up on for about 13 hours I have to say my skin looked great!  Was it the skincare I put over it, the foundation I picked today, or the morning mask? Who knows but I liked it.  I'm going to do the same skincare and foundation tomorrow and see if a completely unscientific experiment will prove kale a new love for me.

When I finally removed my makeup (I was honestly sad no one was seeing me up close and I had to take it off, it looked that good) I went in with the Beauty Diary's Hyaluronic Aid Ultra Moisturizing Mask.  I think I convinced myself this qualified as a G mask since there were gems on the front package.  I picked this knowing I'd be using a drying treatment serum tonight so I wanted to give my skin a pre-treatment boost.  The scent on this was super light and clean.  The material is a bit more paper like than the mornings farmskin, but it had pre cut slits that worked well enough that I didn't bother snipping the bridge of the nose. My skin felt really nicely hydrated after 20 minutes and the extra serum massaged in quickly with no real tackiness to speak of. Mid summer I could probably get away without a moisturizer after this one.  This time of year, I'll still need one for my dry skin. I have a couple more of these and I wouldn't shy away from trying out others from the line at some point.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

You don't like kale @missjeanie?!!! I don't have it nearly as often as I used to - a few years ago, kale was the main veggie in my life. ๐Ÿคฃ It, along with spinach, served as the main ingredient in my morning green smoothies. I'd have it in salads and even made kale chips and kale pesto. It was bit much, I admit. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I feel like I have this Farmskin mask in my stash; will have to look for it and try it out as a morning mask, before my makeup.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi I just can't do it.  I mean if it's mixed into something I'll eat it, but I'm not the one ordering a kale salad. lol. I think I've always found it a bit too substantial for my liking I prefer a more generic romaine or spinach for my green salads and banana's and berries for my smoothies. I'm totally not the best at adulting with my foods.  Cookies deserve to be a breakfast food dang it! lol I'm trying to be better the last few years, and generally I do much more balance than at once point, when a loaf of bread and cheese was a full meal, but I just can't do some of the super healthy stuffs yet.

I actually was reminded how much I do enjoy the farmskin masks last week.  I'm on a bit of my own 'theme' this week but I'll be happy to use up the ones I do still have in my stash!  The kale was for sure the surprise of the bunch.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I used kale in a vegetable soup and enjoyed it @missjeanie but don't think I've had it any other way. I need to use the rest of the bag. How have you had it? I doubt I would like it raw. Anyway, glad the kale mask was a winner!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@ShortErica I've had it in salads and as 'chips'.  Neither impressed me.  I'm going to chalk it up to just not being my thing.  We can't like it all right?  That said, I'd try another mask or skincare with the ingredient.
