Re: Help please

Wow. I will tell you what worked for me. I've always had very sensitive skin, but about two years ago I developed rosacea, which my mom has had for years. Within months, I went from having really lovely skin to dry, crusty, pimply, bumpy, painful skin. Everything irritated it, including products I'd been using for years.

First, do an elimination diet. Stop literally everything and then introduce just a few products at a time so you'll know what's bothering you. For me, I started with washing my face with cetaphyl sensitive skin, and putting nothing but organic coconut oil and my long-term eye cream on it for the weekend, which calmed it down a bit. Then on  Monday (this was when we were all still working), I just added foundation, brow pencil, and mascara to the mix. I broke out right away, so I knew then that the foundation (Armani) was out. The next day i tried a different foundation (Josie Maren). This didn't make me break out, but I didn't love the consistency and how it looked on my skin. I just kept going with this and then trying new foundations until I landed on the two that really worked for me. Next I tried moisturizers, and elimated them one-by-one as they irritated me. Etc.

Net-net, the clean products worked significantly better for me, nothing with fragrance. Below is the list of what I currently use and works super well for me.

Cleanser: Cetaphyl Sensitive Skin

Primer: Milk Makeup has been ok

Toner: Thayers alcohol free witch hazel

Essence: Origins Dr. Andrew Weil Mega Mushroom Calming lotion

Serums: Dr. Barbara Sturm Calming Serum (it's expensive but an absolute wonder), Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Moisture Serum

Moisturizers: Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream Rich, Drunk Elephant Protini, Clinique Moisture Surge

Foundation/concealer/highlighter/contour/blush/bronzer: Westman Atelier has been the best (she's a professional m/u artist and has rosacea so all her products really perform. I love them all, except the mascara). Also, It Cosmetics make a pretty good CC cream and concealer.

Masks: Dr. Barbara Sturm, Clinique Moisture Surge & Charcoal

Heavy duty moisture: LXMI

I hope that helps.

Hi Kim, thanks for replyin! You re right i quite sure that breakouts are thé result of the overfragranced foundation Backstage of Dior! Threw 55$ box for a definitly irritating product! I started eliminating the different items i suspect 🤨! Now i m usin kiel and dernatologica face cleansers. I never had such reactions before! Thank u lots

Re: Help please
