Week 48 (November 18-24): Let's get "Pop"ular - Wicked movie/musical week.
Create a look with anything from a collab with the movie/musical Wicked, use anything from any Wicked Collaboration (One/Size, R.E.M., Opi, etc) " or anything that inspires you, particularly accenting pink, gold or green.
Week 49 (November 25-Dec 1): Fairytale makeup - Part 1 - Cast of Characters. This is any fairytale makeup magic your heart desires from your favorite sidekick/supporting character. Doesn't need be a cosplay level look, whether it's using a cool color shifting liner or working a full fairy godmother look, let your makeup be inspired by the ones who always had the hero/heroine's back.
Week 50 (December 2-8th): Part 2 -The Princess Edit - give me your best Disney Princess/Prince blush look. Are we going snow white rouge, or snatched Cinderella??
Week 51 (December 9-Dec 15): Part 3 - Very Villainous. Not at all demure.
Let's be honest, Ursula, Maleficent, the evil queen....all slayed the makeup game, and then subsequently slained. Well, what are heroics without the calamity of a counterpart? Bring out your inner baddie this week.
Week 52 (Dec 16-22): Wickedly Wintry: If it's in the title (the lion, the witch and the wardrobe), why not pay homage to it? Using elements of ice and frost, give me your best Ice Queen look aka white witch from Narnia. Silvery, sparkly highlights welcome. If that's too frosty forward, any element of silver or white within your look can play to this theme.
Week 52 (again) (Dec 23-29): Belle of the Ball - Give me Glitz! Glam! All the glitter! Feel free to use any holiday release, like the Dior or Nars collections.
2025 Week 1 (Dec 30-Jan 5) Pixie Power! I want to see spritely cheeks, there needs to be a gold or glow involved. Tinkerbell time!
Week 2 (Jan 6-12): Frosty Foliage: Give me that sunset blush look, but make it frosty...plum, berries, holographic shimmer. (Not quite foliage, but I was going for the callback and alliteration.)
Completed 2024 Weekly Challenges:
💗💗❤️❤️💗💗💗
Year 3:
Week 1-2 (Break)
Jan 14-20: Cherry Cola/Cherry Cocktail Lips + Cheeks. Think ombre lips and burgundy or deep red looks.
Jan 21-27: Hot Toddy Week. Think bright and sultry, go for golds and honey or amber colors.
Jan 28-Feb 3: Espresso Martini\Martini Week. This is the martini look - green and shimmer, but you could also add a deep lip to it or go for brown or plum version.
Feb 3-10: Maiden's Blush or Cosmopolitan Week This is the one that started it - Maiden's Blush, by RMS beauty. It's coral, shimmery and warm.
Feb 11-17: Red Wine & Hot Chocolate - If you do partake in alcohol, try this it's delicious. The look speaks to red and brown, but again, you choose.
Feb 18-24: Pink Blush /Blush Wine - Essentially, this is a pink look, but pinks have all sorts of tones, so have fun playing with this, whether it's all pink or a pop of pink.Week 10 (Feb 24- March 2): Lunar/ Chinese New Year Looks - This is a little late but the 24th was the lantern festival, so I think we can still celebrate this week!
Week 11 (March 3-9): I’m Cold Makeup Trend - This one’s been on the list for a while and I would love to try it out and see your looks!
Week 12 (March 10-16): March Sentimental Items - Any makeup items that spark a memory or have sentimental value for any reason, big or small. Let us know what is special about these items!

Week 17&18 (April 13-27): Sale Haul Newness + Shop Your Stash! Don’t let your new items gather dust, try them out and post your thoughts! If you’re on a low/no buy, please shop your stash and share what you love about the items you chose!

Feel free to keep posting spring sale newness into the following weeks!
(***I made the executive decision to extend this one more week since orders are still coming in!)

Week 21 (May 21-27): Barbiecore! I was actually never a fan of dolls or Barbies as a kid, and the flood of Barbie on Instagram recently was kind of annoying to me, but I also have a soft spot for pink and Barbie, so I thought I’d add to the challenge. Can be anything from subtle to all out Barbie.
Week 22 (May 28-June 3): Social Media Inspired! Recreate a look and/or create your own look inspired by an influencer you love, or use makeup to recreate a filter. Post a side by side to share with us.
Week 23 (June 4- 10): Festival! Go all out with Glitter / Color / Braids / Hair Accessories or go easy and fresh!
Week 24 (June 11-17): Earth Week! Highlight more sustainable or green makeup brands. Or even just a play on blue, green, or even earthy tones to celebrate the earth. This is a little out of order but summer is a great time to connect with and celebrate the earth! (Suggested by @josometimes)
Week 25 (June 18-24): Summer Solstice! Create a look based on whatever makes you think of summer, maybe a sunny look, bronzed beauty, or zodiac inspired look.
Week 26 (June 25-July 1): Celebrate Pride! I know pride events vary widely by cities, so if you happen to do a pride look in another week, feel free to post anytime!
Week 27 (July 2-8): 4th of July! Let’s see those red, white and blues., fireworks inspired or just summery BBQ looks.

Week 39 (Sept 15-21): It’s never too early for PUMPKIN SPICE!
Week 40 (Sept 22-28): SEPHORiA!!! I know not everyone can attend AND there’s no virtual component this year, but share what you would wear or if you’d plan to feature any artist/line specifically in your actual or theoretical SEPHORiA looks.
Week 41 (Sept 29-Oct 5): CINNAMON APPLE SPICE sounds so nice!

So, I could definitely (still) use some makeup inspiration these days and maybe you could too! Several years ago, we used to have some weekly makeup challenge threads, so I’m bringing one back. It’s a great way to spark some creativity and maybe most importantly, a great way to shop your stash!
I started with a list of some challenges below, but also happy to edit/rearrange/consider other ideas along the way. I hope you will join me! Feel free to post as many or as few times you’d like each week with photos of your looks. If you don’t like to post your face, feel free to do a flatlay of the products you used to do your look. Also, if you get behind or ahead, feel free to post pics whenever you have time.
Can’t wait to see all your looks! Have fun! Please feel free to suggest some other challenge ideas in the thread and we’ll add to the coming weeks!!

Week 17&18 (April 13-27): Sale Haul Newness + Shop Your Stash!
A mix of sale haul newness and shop my stash finds, @sister13!
Products with the 🛍 emoji next to its tag / name are products I purchased during the sale.
* I restocked Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Natural Glow Foundation 🛍 during the sale, but in the mini size. Working on finishing up my umpteenth full size bottle here. I love this foundation. Medium coverage, feels lightweight on the skin and gives such a soft-light, natural radiance. This has been a repeated repurchase for decades, and even though I tend towards more tints these days, this will continue to be repurchased!
* SEPHORA COLLECTION Best Skin Ever Multi-Use Hydrating Glow Concealer 26 Peach 🛍 was another sale purchase. While I like the staying power and coverage of the original concealer, this hydrating one better suits my skin overall as it is more hydrating. I like this one for the under eye area but it does well with covering blemishes too.
* I held out for a while on purchasing any of the Dior liquid highlighters when they were first released. Then I went in store to pick up a BOPIS order and they had a Dior rep in the store that day. We started chatting about Dior, the new releases, some folks we both knew there, and then she asked if I wanted to try something on and that turned into a mini makeup retouch (which looked better than what I had done myself, of course) and then I ended up buying DIOR Forever Glow Maximizer Longwear Liquid Highlighter 014 Rosy 🤣 Did I know this was going to happen? Yeah, yeah I did. It's a beautiful blush-and-highlighter in one. A little goes a looooong way!
* Liked the effect of the original version of the #SEPHORA COLLECTION Love The Lift Curling + Volumizing Waterproof Mascara Ultra Black 🛍 but wanted a waterproof version. Voila!!! So of course, I had to get it. Giving myself a pat on the back for waiting until the sale to actually purchase. 😅 The lift this gives my lashes without using an eyelash curler is marvelous. And, true to its claims, the lift does last for 12+ hours though as to be expected, it wanes a little throughout the day. Still, this has great staying power. Some smudging if I forgot to set my under eye area well but that would be on me.
* The LAWLESS Skin-Smoothing Talc-Free Perfecting Powder is product I've been enjoying the more and more I use it. It made its way into a previous Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge and I've been bringing it into different capsules ever since. An example of the benefits of shopping your stash. It applies smoothly and has excellent coverage. I used it here to set makeup and it does a good job of that, but I'm finding that where it really marvels is as a powder foundation.
* Eyeshadow was a mix of shadows from Natasha Denona Biba All Neutral Eyeshadow Palette Full Size Biba Neutral Eyeshadow Palette, which I'm working my way through as part of the Pan It! - 2024 Challenge. I scrape some shadow into one of the containers from the SEPHORA COLLECTION Reusable Travel Jar Set , lightly swirl my SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Shadow Brush #15 into the various shades, spritz a setting spray like MAC Fix+ (alcohol free) onto the brush (with the shadows) and then apply to my lids.
* The store made sample contains Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Hue Drops Serum Sun Glow 🛍, which I dabbed on my cheeks and temples for a little warmth and glow.
*
Yves Saint Laurent YSL Loveshine Lip Oil Stick 203 Blushed Mallow
🛍 was part of the BOPIS order I went into the store to pick up that lead to the Dior Rosy Liquid Highligther purchase. So naturally , I ad to use them in the same look.YSL Loveshine 203 (immediately after application)
@itsfi the dior and lippie are stunning swatches!!
@itsfi love the swatches and your thoughts on everything! That Dior highlighter is so pretty!
Your items and how you use them are so beautifully described. 💝 One day I think I'm going to cave and pick up the Armani Foundation @itsfi 😉
@CynthieLu, thank you. Armani LSF is such a magnificent foundation. It's a GOAT in its category and one I see being part of my collection or years to come. Do you have a store near you that carries the full line of shades? You could see about getting samples of a few shades to see about color matches and to try them on over a few days to see how you like the formula. It can be made more sheer or built up with ease.
I don't think so but maybe I'm wrong @itsfi I'm out and about today so I think I will investigate around to see if I can. That's a good idea, thank you. 😀🙏
I was thinking recently, if Amani goes up for a point multiplier one of these days i'd most likely give in. All the praise it gets from so many of you whose opinion I trust, I can't hold back forever. I'm to weak 😂
@CynthieLu - I wear Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Natural Glow Foundation 2 . It's a regular in my rotation of three foundations. It's not an exact match, but it's not obvious. I also can't believe that I actually LIKE a glowy foundation! I'm a matte girl through-and-through, but this one is great! If I remember correctly, you wear Dior, so if it helps, I wear DIOR Dior Forever Matte Skincare Foundation 0N Neutral , which is a smidge light. I also wear LYS Beauty Triple Fix Serum Foundation LG3 , which is a virtual match. The Armani is a smidge darker and warmer (I'm neutral and very light) with a peach undertone or peach mixed in. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the formula if you can find a shade match.
Your are another vote in favor of the Armani 😉 @Titian06 and you say your shade 2? I think I might be somewhere between 3-4 but it's so hard to. tell online. 🤔
I did try to find it when I was out today but we're just too small a town here, with no big fun Sephora's or anything like that.
I think I may still cave if a points offer or deal comes up. I'm very intrigued.
You got it, my go to foundation is the Skin Tint from Danessa Myrics and lately I've been adding Dior's Star Filter to it. It's as very fun mix ✨😊
@CynthieLu - Keep an eye on the samples page. I've seen the foundation card there with foil packets of four shades. (Actual usable amounts, not those pull tabs with enough to cover the tip of your nose. 🙄 )
Ugh I know what you mean. Almost empty foils/samples just make no sense at all @Titian06 I will keep my eyes peeled. That's a good idea, thank you! 🫶
@itsfi It looks like you picked up some wonderful items during the sale! I bet everything worked well to create a beautiful look. How do you find the Glow Recipe drops compare to the DE drops? Ohh how exciting there is now a waterproof version of the Sephora Mascara!
Thank you @Mellmars1185! I like the GR drops but my preference is for the DE, at least for an all over glow - that one still works very well for me. I like the GR too, but I like it better if I just use a smidge of the product alone and apply/blend in the areas I want some warmth, bronze and glow. The DE definitely needs to be mixed; the GR can be but doesn't need to be. I feel like the DE has a softer, more natural glow to it and I prefer that on an every day basis.
Gorgeous and thanks for the reviews and stories and swatches!! That love shine is so very pretty. Great mix of new and already loved items. I needed to ship my stash a bit more, but I’ve been working a great things in.
I remember my first time trying the Armani Luminous Silk foundation and the luminous blush/liquid glow ones, I was in England and it was the best foundation I’d ever tried. So expensive at the time in GBP but so worth it since you couldn’t get it in the US yet. Ahhh, makeup memories! @itsfi
Thank you @sister13; ohhhh, I remember the Armani blush/liquid glow fluids. Ahhhh!!!! So good. I was just beginning to do a deep dive into luxury makeup then and went hard for Armani. They have some great products but the LSF is the one I continually and consistently restock. I found the Armani Beauty Power Fabric + Longwear Matte Concealer the other day and put that in a capsule - it was my go to concealer when I first started posting more to BT/BIC. I forgot how good it is. That one will definitely be making it's way into the rotation.
Oh, I hear you on shopping the stash. Trying to find a good balance between that and newness, both what I have and newness to come. 😁
@itsfi - The Dior maximizer in rosy and YSL loveshine lip oil are such pretty colors. How do you like the YSL? Is this your first one or do you have more?
@Titian06, Yves Saint Laurent YSL Loveshine Lip Oil Stick 203 Blushed Mallow is what I've been reaching for a lot - if it's not the lip product I start the day with, it's the one I'm using more often than the others for touching up or reapplying throughout the day. Lightly hydrating; it's not my most moisturizing lip product but I'm not looking for it to be. Very happy with it. 💄 I originally had 201 - Rosewood Blush - in mind; by its name and the photos online, it looked like something right up my alley. 203 looked pretty but I thought it might be too deep of a shade for me, then I swatched both in store and was instantly drawn to 203. There is a deepness to it that is darker than my pigmented lips, but the formula is light, balmy enough that a light hand is all that's necessary if I'm feeling it's deeper than I want. I'm good just dabbing it lightly across my lips for a soft wash of color, as well as gliding the tube over a couple of times for more oomph.
This is my first one of this new version of the YSL lip oils. I will probably get more at a later date - I do want to pick up another one, or two, but trying to give my low buy a fair shake here and I have plenty of purchases to get through, and some to unpack or use for the first time.
Thanks, @itsfi , such helpful information! I'm not really into lip balms/oils, but this looks so pretty on you. I may buy one this summer while on vacation. I need to go back on my no-buy after the Sephora sale a few other purchases... 😁
I hear that @Titian06! I'm contemplating changing May from a 'low buy' to a 'no buy' 😁
I shopped the stash today, but I did use MILK MAKEUP Cloud Glow Priming Foam With Brightening Turmeric that I think I bought from the sale lol
@lmaster gorgeous look as always! Your eyes are stunning, and your skin looks so glowy! 😍
@caitbird thank you sweet beauty 😘
