100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@WinglessOne what a bright shade on you! Very pretty. And totally dig the eye color! I just got a new yellow shadow in the Proceed with Caution palette from Colourpop. Hmm red lippy would look good with it.

Thanks @Weetart ! Yes, that shadow would be great with a glossy red lip! My lids are a combo of ColourPop eyeliner in Punch and a Sephora Collection shadow stick in metallic gold. Can’t wait to see the yellow CP shadow on you. 🙂

Thanks @2manyperfumes ! I’m kinda sorta maybe obsessed with this line. 😂 These are the glosses that made me like glosses again. I started with the shade Not Afraid last year and was so impressed, I’ve been buying more ever since. I’ve said it many times but man, Lancôme crushes the gloss game with these.

Rose Fugace? 356? Red? I'm so confused right now 🤔 it's a mauvey pink on me, quite subtle, and while I like it ok, I find it kinda boring. This looks awesome on you though!

@RGbrown  Yep, that’s the one. 😂 It’s in my purse right now (I’m en route to a party) and you just made me double check. Don’t ask how this looks so red on me. 😄

My only complaint about these glosses is the teeny tiny number on their labels. I wish Lancôme had stamped the shade number and name along the side of each tube. Then folks with old lady eyes *ahem* wouldn’t need to keep a list of all available shades & numbers, and mark which ones I—er, they 😂—have. It’s the only way I can memorize which rose/red/pink is which. Some day I’ll mark each tube better myself.

356 Rose Fugace. Mines a bit darker than I recalled, but still nowhere near red 😛

And yeeeesssss, I HATE the microscopic labels with nothing but a tiny number! "Lacquer" is my number one search on ultas site, always looking to cross reference the numbers with the names 😋

@RGbrown  To get anywhere near mauve with Rose Fugace, I have to apply a single sheer coat. And even then, it looks like a very deep mauve rose, definitely darker than it looks on you. 2 or 3 coats turn rosy red on me within 30 seconds. 😂 

I can’t blame my kitchen lighting for inaccurate color... I mean, 3 coats look red even in fluorescent lighting. Maybe my natural lip color greatly affects this particular shade. Or maybe something in this shade reacts to my pH. Or maybe my lips reject all the mauve in this shade and “paint the roses red.” 🤣 I have no idea. But now I’ll sing that song whenever I apply this shade.
