100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

That's so weird! I have this shade and don't recall any trouble with it, but will have to try it again. Perhaps I just wasn't paying attention whenever I wore it last. The only one I've had fits with is Not Afraid, and that's evident on application...it's a streaky mess for me.

@RGbrown  @heartsmyface  See, Not Afraid gives me zero problems. That’s actually the first shade I ever tried, and I was shocked by how well it performed all day. Maybe Ultra Rose is just as finicky as Not Afraid: works for some folks, throws tantrums for others. Weird. 

My friend’s trying it again today but, so far, that hasn’t gone well. She’s tried it on completely bare lips, over well-absorbed balm, and over lip primer, and still can’t make Ultra Rose behave. Now I wish I had this shade so I could test it myself. (I have 13 of them.)

@WinglessOne @RGbrown So I am finding on this fourth application it’s behaving better.  Maybe it’s cause I have all the earlier layers of lipstick on and they have formed a priming layer.  Tomorrow I’ll try mixing it in the tube with the applicator (just in case), applying it, blotting it away and reapplying and seeing how that goes.

Day 23. KVD Glimmer Veil in Rocker. Looooove glimmer veil ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I went with Rocker because of the Gold sparkle to continue the gold sparkle from the new UB Naked reloaded palette. Sparkles! ✨

The glimmer veils are so gorgeous.  It’s too bad they made my lips swell up and caused a rash along my lip line.  I remember creating a lipstick concoction to dupe this shade in particular cause it shines like heaven in sunlight!  @Weetart

I love that shade on you.  It has her signature gold flecks (heavy metal gold crush).   I have the same shade and wear it over top of a matte.

Today is brought to you by two lippies. The first is Taraji P. Henson Viva Glam. I don’t like this formula. It’s sticky and it comes off too easily. I kind of expect that with a gloss, but it didn’t even last while I was eating a tiny sample of a dish. If it wasn’t for the fact that I like Taraji P. Henson and love Viva Glam I’d let it go. MAC should’ve know better than this.Seriously MAC?

The next is KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Dazzle. I got compliments on this all day. It killed me to tell them I got it from Sephora and not Sally Beauty where I work, but maybe it’ll drum up more business for my favorite employees (every single one of them). Speaking of Sephora I went in there for an eyeshadow primer with my fiancé. He was standing behind me so I silently put my finger to my lips. They acted like I was just another customer. 😄 He should’ve been suspicious when I was asking one of them about her pregnancy since she’s not showing, but he was oblivious. Not very astute, but I guess that’s good for me. Not good for my wallet though. 😄
