100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

UD Spellbound is such a great lip color on you, but if it doesn't perform as well as Cyber ... hmm....

Thanks @itsfi! I very rarely wear Spellbound because I reach for Cyber instead. Spellbound doesn’t feel like a matte on my lips, but it does start cracking after an hour. And it applies a bit patchy. And it doesn’t wear as long as Cyber. And there, I’ve convinced myself to drop it in the declutter box. 🙂

day 36 smashbox Be Legendar in Latte Matte . Lovely peach color. I think this pallet is gonna have all the right colors, yay! Usually, the lightest color has the worst, chalky tone and this doesnt have that.  Finally finding good peaches when Im not looking so hard. Love it and as usual, it feel so good on the lips 🙂 Sorry for the blurryness but my forehead and nose look horrible, yuk 😞

Smashbox latte matte

day 37 smashbox Be Legendar in Straight up . Lighter than Coffee Run but still a great brown color. It wears down fantastically after eating a sandwhich-didnt need to re-touch since it wore off so evenly. Here is a picture after lunch 🙂

@Buootiful I like the colours! I also have trouble with light coloured lippies and almost never wear them. Is this the palette or the holiday set of bullets?

It is the pallette @Krysa13, Be legendary Moody and Nudie on their website. The lightest color in the pallette(left side) is Latte Matte SMASHBOX - Be Legendary Lipstick - Latte

@Buootiful Love it when a lipstick wears down evenly. These both look good! I’m also impressed that the lightest shade of the Smashbox palette isn’t too pale. Sounds like that palette was a great find. 🙂

I got super sick and am just now starting to feel human again, so I'm not posting pictures of me wearing any of these. If anything looks interesting, let me know and I will do a lip swatch. Honestly, most of these colors were pretty neutral and were either very sheer, close to my lip color, or both. The only one that I definitely wasn't in to was the J Cat lip paint; it was just too messy to apply. I think that's also why I never got in to the OCC Lip Tars, as they seem to be quite similar. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the Clinique color.

Thanks @jozkid. I'm mostly bummed that it totally derailed my plan of getting a PMG lipstick to celebrate day 50! It's not the worst to hold off on getting it for day 100 but man, it felt like a double whammy.

Sorry to hear you're sick @snoflakefaerie; hope you are feel better soon. The swatches look great - Tom Ford Indian Rose is a lovely lippie. It's too bad the JCat lippie didn't work out, the color is so pretty.

Aw man, and the J Cat swatch is the one that grabbed my attention. I wish it was easier to apply, @snoflakefaerie. And I hope you get well soon!

Thanks @WinglessOne. The J Cat is definitely a pretty color, so I'm a little bummed. It also doesn't help that the applicator/nozzle that constricts the flow broke off in to the cap so it just glops out 😞

Thanks @eshoe! My sickness also coincided with my boss taking an unexpected 2 week medical leave & I had to cover, but they are back now, so I won't have to be working an additional 20 hrs a week as well. It was rough for sure, but I'm feeling MUCH better.

This is Doc. It’s a little pale for me as far as nudes go, but it’s not horrendous. I’m still a bit meh about the color, and the formula isn’t as nice as Grumpy or Bashful. It’s drier and wears off easier. I thought I liked it better when I test wore it one evening at home. It was a bad makeup day all around. I tested a new primer and it didn’t play well when my foundation, I got zits, it’s no good
