100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Okay this thread gets the sultry selfie because selfies are d-u-m-b. Why do we do this. 

Laura Geller Love Me Dew Lip Crayon in Plum Freeze. I love this as a transition shade to fall!

@alexasteph I can’t even take a selfie since I don’t even have a smartphone! I can only take pictures on my iPad and it doesn’t even have a flash ! Just imagine how awkward it can be to take a decent selfie with a tablet 🤪! Your selfie looks great and so do you! That shade of lipstick is gorgeous on you and I agree that it’s a great transitional shade. Your eyes are mesmerizing and those eyelashes are just WOW!❤️

@keana1 Haha, thank you! I’ve used tablets for selfies before too, but you’re right it is challenging. I don’t like using the camera anyway, the angle isn’t right so I use a picture app.

@curlychiquita Haha, thank you! I have very severe RBF so looking like anything other than angry is challenging for me. Not looking angry either requires a huge smile or the right angle.

@Kim888 Thank you! Yes, it’s a lovely shade! I can’t remember if I got it individually or part of a set, it might not be available on its own. I can see if I have a dupe in my collection to suggest!

@Kim888 The closest I found was Bite Beetroot and it’s not a perfect dupe. Beetroot is more pigmented and a bit pinker, while Plum Freeze is sheerer and more plummy. Depending on your natural lip color, it may pull different undertones out. 

Plum Freeze on top, Beetroot on bottom.

@snoflakefaerie i can barely manage a regular selfie, not even a sultry one. Plum freeze is a beautiful shade on you're right about the transition. It's perfect for that.

@RGbrown I look like I’m about to commit murder or like I‘m extraordinarily unimpressed and/or disgusted with my surroundings. I’ve been described as “intimidating” on more than one occasion haha. Doesn’t help I have a super dry sense of humor and generally say things with no inflection.

Gorgeous look! And holy mackerel, that's excellent pigmentation for a Love Me Dew; that color is gorgeous! I've got a couple I got as gwp's, but haven't actually looked into the line any further. This one is going on my list 😍😍😍

@RGbrown Thanks! I think part of it is the shade, the color payoff is always a bit more when it’s dark. I have 5, and since they’re so dewy (hence the name) they aren’t super long lasting, but this shade is the best I think.
