100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

It's a very pretty color pink you can pull off on your skin @snoflakefaerie! 🙂 It's one of the few shades I don't have in the Powermattes. Such a shame it is drying for you @snoflakefaerie, the staying power is awesome through eating and doesn't dry me out.

@snoflakefaerie Whoa fun purple hair!! I can’t pull that off at all but it’s so cool you can! I don’t have any of the Powermattes but I am very interested in them. Do you have a favorite shade?

@alexasteph I'm lucky I work at a bar/theater where they don't mind crazy hair (at least 4 of us have bright colored hair). I am also lucky because one of the super fancy salons in Boston was looking for hair models, so I got this done on the super cheap. I am so ecstatic with it.

Anyway, regarding the powermattes, I have: low rider, get up stand up, under my thumb, and starwoman. I like get up stand up the best, but I think that's just because I'm more drawn to colors like that (bright pinks/corals). I do find the dark reds bleed a little more if you don't shake the formula up to integrate the ingredients.

Viselli on Newbury. I have followed them on Instagram for a while and just lucked out seeing they needed hair models. It has never looked this beautiful before! @jozkid

I don’t know that one @snoflakefaerie, but then again I switched salons a little while ago and the new one’s in the South End. They did a great job!

Oh which one do you go to? @jozkid@ I am still on the hunt for a place that can work with my puffy weird half wavy half curly hair and cut it nicely so I don't have to blow it out daily

I go to Mop on Tremont. They specialize in curly hair and do Devacuts. I see Nicole there. She’s one of the owners. Newbury St quality without the attitude!

@snoflakefaerie Ooh of the ones you mentioned I think I’m most drawn to the one you’re wearing, Low Rider! It looks great on you and it’s a pink family I definitely gravitate towards. Might need to add this to the list...

On my lips low rider is just a little less bright and a touch pinker than get up stand up. I think it will look really nice on you. @alexasteph

This is my first post ever so I hope I am doing this right! My friend @sprocketta told me about this challenge and it did sound kinda fun! She really enjoys these boards and says everyone on here is wonderful so I thought I would give it a shot. This is Day 1 for me and I am wearing Urban Decay's "Purgatory." It's one of the Vice Liquid Lipsticks.
