Love for Brushes

I'm developing a love for brushes of all kinds.  I bought a few higher end brushes and they are amazing.  They are incredibly soft and my makeup glides on like a dream.  There are so many interesting shapes. I am really interested in creating a beautiful brush collection.  Show your brushes and share any cleaning and storage tips and let us know which ones are your favorites.

So my experience with Freshy

So the founder, Maya, was at the both at the Makeup Show.  Very nice, able to answer my questions and essentially I contacted her on social media to use the promo that was offered. 

You have to make an account with Freshy.  Which makes sense because it's a subscription service, but you can also just use it singularly .

They have the following options: Base, Signature and Pro.  I chose the Signature service.

It took about three days to get my kit.  I didn't choose to get replacement brushes.   This is what it looks like 

 

 

 

 

Really nicely packed.  I can see the thoughtfulness put into this, from simplify instructions, having cards/QR codes for quick access to instructions, color coordinated items. 

 

 

 

There's a bubble mailer, two bags to include brushes, extra tape (I could've reused the box) and a return label (obvs not shown).  I didn't take pictures of the brushes (I meant to, but has an emergency that day).  I sent them out the following business day, and got them back today.  So it took about a week/5 business days to send, clean and receive.  If I included the time to place the order and get the box, it's been about 2weeks/8 business days.  A little longer than what I was expecting, but honestly reasonable.

The Results:

I love this.  Not only are the brushes clean (I think PAT McGRATH LABS Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer Brush is slightly tinted still, but I find it annoying to clean so whatevs ) some of them look and feel brand new and some of them are softer than what I recall.  I didn't include any natural brushes (I was worried something could happen) but the cleaner Maya uses it's able to wash both natural and synthetic.  They also ask if you have sensitive skin, so I may send 1-2 in the future (probably the Rephr's ). I did send the synthetic Hakuhodo brush I picked up recently, and it's squeaky clean.   Maya also included a blue, because two brushes she didn't use a sleeve, so they could retain their shape .  Attention to deeeetttraaaailllll 🫶🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

That's a great brush @guitarinaa; love how it can get product into areas that can be harder to deposit and blend out product, like around the nose.

@danielledanielle  I hope this is effective because it looks like it would clean well.  It's very difficult to get all of the foundation out of my brush.
