Has anyone out there tried the Top Box Subscription? ✨️📦✨️

I did and was on the fence about it.  I got my first Box and I think I'm going to keep going with it, until next month at least. 

Details:

Canadian Sub box for 15$ that gives you 4 trial sized of random products.

Pro: Affordable 

Con: Who knows what you'll get 🤗  and tiny products.

okay so first impressions:
Wow! What a surprise, three full size lip products! 
🩷 A liquid lipstick in Dusty Rose by Laritzy 
💚A tinted lip oil by Manna Kada
💜  A tinted lip balm by Maskeraide.

Plus, the two minis. A facial oil by Clairns and a mascara, Roller Lash by Benefit Cosmetics.

This box has more value than what I paid and the quality of the lippies were a hit for me. 
Each one tasted nice on my lips and were hydrating. Plus they look so pretty on.

The Clairns oil is more sample than trial size so menh 😴  but I'm okay with the mini mascara, I use it everyday so it'll serve me well lol

SO,  for now,  I'm going on for another month. I'm excited to see where this goes.

A moment for Estate's Highlighter in shade Eclipse

It blends out very easily and it's a really lovely creamy texture for a powder.

This is blended out on the top of my hand, it's harsh line free. I'm impressed, next try will be on my face 😉

 And no, I haven’t yet! I have a backlog of things I have to try. I hope you’re able to find a way to use that highlighter. First impressions so far are positive for me.

I’m not wowed by the cleanser. I have two that I’m enjoying more. It does sting a little if I have abrasions from my eczema or careless shaving. It does a good job of breaking down grease and oil, so I’ve delegated it to clean up after working outside. Plus, it’s a full size and I’d rather not waste all of it.

Oh yes, they charge you in advance. @JoSometimes (I figure it might be because when percuring deals for the box, they need to know how many they are filling.)  I was also surprised at first.

I like the cleanser so far,  I have mildly red cheeks atm but it isn't irritating them that I can tell and it is removing my make up gently and effectively. I'm soo bummed for you! Buring is no fun and ugh. I love that you are going to repurpose it 💕

I relate to the product backlog of things to try.. 🙈😅

I'm back at home 🏡 and I can finally open this!

My July Sub Box 📦 😍 

I am impressed this month, for 16.95 CAD (after tax 😉) I got full size products: A face wash, highlighter and primer as well as a trial size perfume. A big bottle a far as perfume testers go. 🪷

Size of products this month is 10/10

And added bonus points for anything being above sample size.

Floss is Canadian made and reading it over it is something I'm going to use.  A face wash for sensitive skin is right in my wheel house. 

The primer will depend if it pills or not with my regular skin care.  But I do like E.L.F as a brand so it made me smile to recieve it. 

I'm going to have to get creative to use the highlighter,  I think this shade is a bit dark for me but I'll give it a try,  I'm thinking for underpainting, possibly eyeshadow (If I do some research if its safe for that. 😉)  This is my second item by ESTATE from top box.  The Lipstick I recieved a few months back was lovely,  and I swatched the highlighter and immediately noticed how creamy it felt, I'm feeling positive for initial reactions. 😄

The Perfume is by Clairns. ( I've said it before but I'll say it again,  every box has had something by Clairns in it, but this is the funnest one by far) It is a light, floral and fruity scent to me.  It's called Eau Extraordinaire. It's nothing I would have chosen on my own but it's a good scent. No overly anything, not harsh and lightly fun. 

I guess I'll go in on another month 🙂 I'm still having fun with this. 📦 💗

It’s here! This month’s box consists of a cleanser, highlighter, primer, and perfume. I know it said sample sizes but 3/4 of these are full sized products and the perfume will honestly last me forever. One product alone is the value of what I paid for, so overall, this is a win!

Floss Friendly Face Cleanser - Advertised as a sensitive skin-friendly cleanser. Gel consistency and after one quick test, I’d say yes, it’s holding up as advertised with one caveat: I do have a small scrape on my forehead at the moment and it stung there, so definitely need to be careful using this during an active flare up. 

e.l.f. Power Grip Primer - I’ve seen good things about this on social media. I was on the fence about trying it out because I’ve been let down by e.l.f. primers before (*COUGHporelessputtyprimerCOUGH*). Even if this ends up being a dud in my book, at least the other products more than makeup for the value I paid.

Estate Spacebound Highlighter/Illuminator - I swatched it quickly. Consistency is nice and smooth and ooh does it shimmer! It’s hard to tell from a single photo and a single swipe. I’m looking forward to putting this to use in the future.

Clarins Eau Extraordinaire - The only sample size in the entire box. Fragrances usually worry me because some perfumes give me headaches. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It’s a little bit floral and a little bit fruity. I can definitely see (smell?) myself using it on special occasions.

I calculated the value of the contents. $10 primer + $20 cleanser + $12 highlighter + ($80/100 mL*5mL sample) perfume = $48.25 USD or about $64 CAD. I’d definitely say it’s worth the gamble and I’ll certainly give this another try next month.

A quick tip, check your inbox towards the end of the this month. They send out a wish list of possibilities and you can select ones that you might like. There’s no guarantee that you’ll get it since it’s will quantities last but at least you have some influence on what makes it into the box.

I saw you had mentioned the email before, but I thought it must have been related to that little survey you fill out about whether you want more or less of certain categories of items. And there were actually two emails that I got to help customize the box. The first was a quick quiz to get an idea of my style to match products to me a little bit better. The second was specific to this month’s offerings but I didn’t catch the email in time and missed the window. I still got some great things though, so no loss here. 😊

It might be the quiz that I've already done, though I thought that was on their website. I definitely haven't gotten an email about the offerings for the month. I'll keep an eye out for both, though! Thank you so much for making sure I don't miss them.

I'm really looking forward to comparing what we get, for sure. It must be the individualization of the boxes that takes the time - I couldn't figure out before why I couldn't get a July box when I paid for it a few days ahead of time. But it makes sense if they're trying to tailor it to our preferences. And I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what @CynthieLu gets for her Luxe box!

I'm so thrilled this month was a hit for you. That is a fun assortment this time around. 

I'm traveling atm and won't be home for a week or two, I'm going to have this fun box waiting for me. (🎁 that's exciting 😄)

I'm most curious about the highlighter ✨️ (I tried a lippie by Estate and was very pleased with it. I have high hopes for thier highlighter 😄)

Enjoy everything! Every box has had a foil or tester by Clairns lol but the Perfume is a first that I've seen.

Just so there's no confusion 😉 There was no option for personalizing or upgrades this month. Last month I got to upgrade and they included the full size product in that box. 

( it was the Peace Out Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Serum 1 oz / 30 mL )

This month I got the email to do a survey about this coming box,  but after I filled it out they said there was nothing available to personalize etc.. (no upgrades)

@CynthieLu   Ah, thanks for clarifying. Well, I'm looking forward to my first box next month regardless! I suppose what we get depends to a large extent on what they're given to send. Maybe some months they don't have enough options to do much personalization. But they still look like a ton of fun. There's always been something in what you and @JoSometimes have posted that I want to try myself. Squee!
