When I match myself I try my best to go in with no makeup. Depending on what type of foundation you need swatch 3 colors. Focus on your chin and neck area see what color has the perfect under tone. Some time the color IQ for me in the pass didn't work so well. So by looking at it I would fine my shade. Hope this helps
