Unless I’m mistaken, we don’t yet have a thread dedicated to this amazing brand and Founder/CEO, Danessa Myricks. She launched her line at Sephora in February 2021. I have been so impressed with everything I’ve tried from her brand! I have been following her on Instagram for many years prior to that and was so excited for her to come to my favorite beauty retailer, Sephora. As a makeup artist, she always seems so genuine, warm and positive, and her line was founded on inclusivity and creativity.
On her website, she has instructional videos, some free and some for subscribers or purchase. She does incredible looks with color, but I’ve always been impressed with her complexion looks on all skin colors, tones, and textures. I started following her when I was working part time as a makeup artist at Sephora and I wanted to become more familiar with makeup colors on darker skin tones.
My first purchases from her line were the Colorfix pigments, which can be used anywhere, can be mixed together, and are incredibly versatile. They come in mattes and shimmers/foils in a massive range of colors. Most recently I have absolutely fallen in love with herDanessa Myricks Beauty Lightwork Vol. IV: Transcendence Palette - Illuminating Eye & Face Pigments . It is a phenomenally stunning palette with shades that are guaranteed to turn heads!
Even though I’ve even on a foundation no buy, I couldn’t resist her Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Serum Foundationand Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Glow Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Niacinamide .
I’ve added a pic of my current DM collection below. I’m missing a couple items from this pic, so I’ll update once I have everything together.
So, please join me in sharing your loves and observations and pics from this great beauty line! Please post here and tag me if you catch announcements of any beauty releases or other news!

From the DM Website:
Cannot tag this palette for some reason. Picked it up the first day of the sale since I was worried it would sell out. It’s beautiful, with these creamy metallics, and I love the option to take each separately, which I did for a conference last weekend when I was packing light! X-post from hauls thread!
I had previously picked up the Danessa Myricks Beauty Mini Pastel Dream Freedom Palette and setting spray, I’ll try to find my swatches!
@sister13 , ma'am we (meaning me), want lewks, too
@missjeanie, I do, too! Minis are preferable to me these days, especially blush!
@TraceyEB I know that some people were complaining that the value of this year's set isn't as good as last year's but I still think it's a great deal and I really like the colors that she chose for this year.
@CookieGirl1, I prefer this year's release for the mini sizes and for having only one duplicate to what I own. Last year's set had too many duplicates, so it had no value to me. This year's set has only one repeat and I could easily gift it. I'd love to see the mini sizes offered in Danessa's regular line.
@TraceyEB I agree--I would much rather have the option of purchasing a mini blush.

@danielledanielle , I'm A #HugeFangirl Of The #BrownGirlMovement 😍 IS SHE IN THIS COMMUNITY OMGGGG I WOULD ☠️D☠️I☠️E☠️😂
It's back to school time! But, cooler 😎 😁
There's a masterclass this Sunday, 9/7, but I'm not sure if it's full. However, sign up form for additional free content is up.
@danielledanielle - I tried to register, but it didn't let because I don't have an Instagram account. 😖
To just register? Or watch? @Titian06 I didn't need to put my IG in. The videos are from "Teach Me Tuesdays" so that would be Instagram. If that's the case, if I find a work around, I'll let you know.
@danielledanielle - It said it was for Sunday's free class. I did a search on Danessa Myricks University to find the site to register.
Edit: OMGosh! It was the drop down box that was the problem! I thought since the radio button was selected on the first item, that was an answer. Apparently that was the question and I had to select yes or no. DUH!
If anyone else has read this far, I now have a spot in the class, so there are still openings.
It's out now early access on the app! Though, it freezes when I try to tag it. Looks awesome, can't wait to try it! @itsfi
I’m so in love with the moisturizer balm and blurring balm combo. I was on a hunt for skin tint and just kindly deleted them from my Sephora cart. I didn’t believe it when they said the blurring balm was more for oily skin (and they were certainly right). I tried every which way and it wasn’t working for my dry skin. I tried the moisturizer balm as my last resort. When I wore both together, it blended and looking wonderful. Then I tried the Blurring flush in Crème Brûlée and discovered it was my perfect bronzer shade …and with a touch of Spice Latte, I was good to go!!
It took me a while to get on board with this but I’m glad I finally did.
I got a lovely box from Danessa Myricks Beauty with the new Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Glow Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Niacinamide Fresh Pressed and the new Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder -Universal Primer Universal Radiant . I already was almost finished with my Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Glow Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Niacinamide Main Squeeze and I knew I love this formula.
Definitely love the new shade Fresh Pressed, it has some microfine sparkle but looks glowy, not glittery on. I love the new shade! It does plump and give a touch of evening to the skin on its own and works great under foundation or concealer. I’ll post some swatches soon!
As for the Radiant blurring balm, I love it so far but haven’t had a chance to try it out in daylight since I’ve been so busy but it feels great and I do lean toward more glowy finish for my mature skin.
