@Luvstravel  I also have a rouge reward (got another one a couple weeks ago) and strongly considered waiting for Sephora’s launch of the black-cased VIII. But I still don’t trust Sephora to ship me a full sized palette, or even a mid sized palette, in one piece. Eh, I can find plenty of other ways to spend that $100. 🙂 

One of the reasons I wanted the pink case is the way I now store my Motherships. I’ve taken all but one of them out of their boxes. I labeled the spines of the black cases so I can quickly tell them apart. No need to label the gold-cased IV, as it’s the only gold Mothership I own. Likewise, I won’t have to label the pink-cased VIII. I still have all the empty boxes; I’ll occasionally rotate one of them on display. But it’s much easier to reach for and use a Mothership when I don’t have to untie its box and remove it.

@Luvstravel I want the pink case just for the stalking effort 😂🤣 I waited for good 15 minutes before launch and I was so mad at the sold out/not sold out, discount/not discount situation. To be honest, I was about to give up on the purchasing with the site glitches

@blackkitty2014  For VIII? It might’ve sold out, but dang that was fast! The site had a checkout queue for a few minutes (a “you’re in line for checkout, don’t refresh or you’ll lose your spot” page), but I was able to buy a pink cased VIII. Hopefully I won’t get an order cancellation notice. 

I’m slightly annoyed that I couldn’t get the 10% promo code to work: each time I entered it in the promo code field on the checkout page, I got kicked completely out of the buy flow back to the PMG homepage. 😡 Will definitely let customer service know.

I finally got the discount to work but by then the pink packaging was sold out. ah well. I would have waited for sephora but I wanted the pink lip bundle which Sephora didn't seem to offer!

@WinglessOne Thanks 🙂 The discount was worth more to me than the packaging 🙂 I did notice for the first time that my order confirmation said "subject to stock availability" Hummm.

I also paid for express delivery so I hope it gets here fast! 🙂

I may or may not have been up for an hour already, and I'm on the west coast so ya know, it's frickin early!

 Does anyone know the approximate time the early access emails with codes are sent out(and time zone)? I will keep an eye out here too if someone will post it :).  I have tried to get added to early access emails many times over, with 2 email addresses(suggested by PMG customer service) to no avail, I never get the emails.

Some more swatches of Mothership VIII from jian_aquair on IG. It's called an "artistry" palette because the bright pink shade isn't deemed eye safe (at least in the US).

the bottom shade she mentioned blended into her skintone and the second to last is double swatched bc it's sheervs Divine Rose I

why is it not eye safe?

@LovelyDaisy  That shade probably contains a dye the FDA considers unsafe for use around the eyes, or maybe the FDA hasn’t made a solid safety decision about it yet. This palette will need a warning label somewhere on its packaging or casing that states which shades can’t be used around the eyes. 

This has happened with other brands: Melt, Urban Decay, and ABH are 3 that spring to mind. Whenever you see a product sold in the US that looks like an eyeshadow palette called “pressed pigments” or (in PMG’s case) “artistry palette,” or something other than “eyeshadow palette,” that’s a telltale sign there’s at least one shade the FDA hasn’t approved for eye use.
