Looks like the Selfridges exclusive version of Midnight Sun has some gold embellishments

So, after coming home and looking at some of @Mochapj 's suggestions, I had an epiphany. It's probably super obvious but I didn’t notice it until tonight. Decadence is PMG's version of a rainbow palette!  You've got red, orange, yellow/gold, blue, and purple, plus a couple of shades to lighten (the light dirty gold and the silver) and two to darken (the dark blue and the grey). I guess because I'm not an artist and I never really "mix” shadows on my eyes I just hadn't thought of it that way until today. I definitely need to work on this palette some more now. My mind is blown.

@makeitup305 it’s funny you should mention that... I had a similar a-ha moment looking at the Midnight Sun palette one day. It’s definitely a (more subdued) rainbow palette with a white, black, grey and neutral for mixing, accents etc

@makeitup305  See, that’s why some of us reeeeally want that palette! 😉 Really though, I think you’ll have lots of fun with it once you experiment more with it. You can also try layering any of the Decadence shadows over a shadow from another palette, just to see what shimmery color you can create. You’ll have to post some of what you come up with!

Welp, Sephora finally removed the Decadence product page very early this morning. I guess that’s that. 

I’m sad about missing this palette again. I’m also kinda pissed that Sephora waited til the palette was sold out to halve its price. They advertised 50% off a high-demand product they didn’t even have in stock anymore. 

I realize site glitches happen. I spent 20 years in the web/UX design field; I’ve seen (and helped fix) some major site problems for a company larger than Sephora. I know the kind of crap that happens on the backend, be it caused by code, info hierarchy, imagery, copy, or marketing decisions. I wonder which of those caused this Sephora blunder. 

Congrats to to everyone who got Decadence. I wish you’d gotten it at the apparently planned half price instead, but at least you have it. For me, this will forever be the one that got away. ☹️

fyi decadence is now showing up on pat mcgrath's site but is listed as sold out. I would keep an eye on it.

BTW on instagram yesterday I commented on one of her posts that she should bring the decadence palette back.  She liked my comment and replied with starry eye emojis. She responds to everything though so I won't take that as a definite yes, but I'm hopeful.

Thanks @Pancake31 ! Yeah, the Decadence product page at PMG direct has been live for months (probably since last year, just sitting there, teasing me... sigh) with sold out status. I’ve had it wishlisted there for a long time. 🙂 Like Sephora, I wish Pat would pull that page already, or at least state on the page that it’s gone for good—if it’s not coming back, I mean. 

I wonder if Pat has any other new launches planned for this year. The Noir collection of Lip Fetish Balm is still unavailable for purchase and not grouped with the holiday collection, though the astral blue one appears at the tail end of one of her short Opulence promo videos. Maybe something else is supposed to officially launch with them. Or maybe they’re just not ready yet. I keep forgetting to check if anyone’s asked Pat about the balms on IG.

I’m so sad I missed out on this when it first launched.  I was checking like a crazy woman when I heard Sephora had it on sale again and then lost hope. I do hope it was just a glitch and I can finally get it.

I feel the same way. I always wanted this palette and now im never getting it ugh i hate sephora for teasing people like this im devastated. 😭😭😭 As for those people saying its not for everyday use pr that is their least favorite i get it but. I would use this palette a lot its so heartbreaking swings thise comments knowing that i can never even play with this palette 😩

I might be in the minority here but I don't think Decadence is a must have unless you're a die hard PMG collector. It was my first PMG palette and since then I've picked up the Bronze Ambition and most of the smaller 6 pan palettes. Unlike those, I find the Decadence palette really hard to use since the undertones are so unique. The shades are pretty but I find it hard to create complete looks with them since I'm not sure what to pair them with. Anybody have any tips? I might consider trading or selling it if I don't get some more use out of it, as much as I love PMG.

Maybe I am just skeptical, but I find it hard to believe they will not release this palette again given how much more money they could make with it. Its like the Too Faced Peach palette. It was supposedly sold out and gone - then surprise, surprise - it was re-released later. In the meantime I just went through temptalia's dupe list for the shades in decadence and put together a palette with virtually the same color story. It's not pretty - but it gets the job done. 👍
