Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

I've searched high and low and haven't found a dedicated Jo Malone thread, but knowing how many of us enjoy JM products I though it'd be nice to have a place where we can share upcoming news and our favorites.

My all time favorite is Blue Agava and Cacao, followed by Peony Blush Suede.

I just picked up Basil and Neroli, which to my nose is a dead ringer for Bobbi Brown Beach! As I love Beach, I think this fragrance is going to be a new fave come the spring. It is different enough from Lime, Basil, Neroli to justify owning both in my collection. Basil and Neroli emphasizes the Neroli while LBM is heavy on the basil and lime, which give it a more herbal edge.

EDIT: finally made the time to organize my JM perfume collection, so here it is!

And here they are all together! Makes my heart happy to see them all out, since I keep them in my  closet away from the sun most of the time.

@lyravega I wonder if this the same sample set you get at Nordstrom. I tried to zoom in and couldn't see the details

RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

My collection is growing nicely. I should have gotten the hazelnut redcurrant in the larger both though. I'm currently obsessed with the French lime.

RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

Has anyone smelled the jo loves? I know she can't compete with her old but I wasn't that impressed.

Re: RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

Oh, I forgot to mention, JO LOVES is only available online.

Re: RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

KNC24,

I purchased the White Roses in the paint brush (gel) format and I just got the 1 oz perfume bottle during the ROUGE sale. I also have the POMELO 1 oz bottle, which I purchased in the sale. I prefer the White Roses, it is a true rose scent, nothing like the Jo Malone Red Roses. The Pomelo scent is bold and longer lasting, like Jo Malone Lime Basil Mandarin. It seems more masculine to me. I am thinking White Roses is a keeper for me.

Re: RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

I haven't yet @KNC24, but now that the full sizes are being sold by Sephora as well, I'm hoping to swing by one of the bigger stores here in SoFla and see if they have them to try out. https://www.sephora.com/search/search.jsp?keyword=jo%20loves&mode=all

Re: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

I cannot WAIT to get my hands on the holiday cologne! Look at that bottle! 😍💗👏

My friend said she wants to buy this cuz it smells good. I’m curious but the one I really want is Bitter Orange. Does anybody know if it will come to Sephora?

Just browsing back through the threads. Just wanted to let you know Sephora has the Bitters Orange now. I received a sample with my purchase at Christmas and really liked it.

RE: Re: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

I'm curious how that smells. I love the hazelnut and redcurrant

RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

@LCResz how are the intense bottles? I'm thinking of trying one but I don't know what makes them different

Re: RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

@KNC24 The Intense Collection features darker fragrance notes, like Oud, Musk, and Patchouli, which make them heavier scents than the rest of the line. They are an homage to the scents of the Middle East, so they smell very opulent. They also tend to have better longevity and stronger projection because of the ingredients used. I am a huge fan of the Velvet Rose and Oud body oil, it makes every perfume I layer over it smell much deeper and it magnifies the florals if present (otherwise the rose stays rosy). I also own the Orris and Sandalwood because I'm a sucker for sandalwood, but none of them smell too much like an incense kiosk! They smell more like more traditional perfumes, so if you want the light and fresh experience of other Jo Malone colognes you won't find that in the Intense collection.

RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

I want to try the tuberose and angelica scent. I'm a floral girl. Plus I'm open to suggestions. I have bluebell, mimosa, wood and sea salt, and peony

Re: RE: Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

@KNC24 The Tuberose Angelica is the lightest of the Intense collection, to my nose, so it might be a great introduction to the floriental side of JM
