Bobbi Brown Thread

The Bobbi Brown thread.  Bobbi Brown was the first brand that got me excited about makeup.  So I'll always have a soft spot for BB.  And now Sephora has the amazing 25 year year palette.

Note, the holiday lip shade is sold out on Nordstrom.  I'm going to be watching for it on Sephora's site.

It’s such a shame @TraceyEB @Ispend2much6 as the shades are so good. 

I’m sure it’s challenging for companies to find the right applicator but it’s so important and often a deal breaker on some of them. Ugg. 

I’m going to try and continue to work with the shiny one because I do like the effect once it’s on and it does last a long time on me with such a pretty stain but it’s really a pain in the tuckus lol. I used CT new concealer around lip line first and that did prevent any feathering on me as I do have some lip lines unfortunately! So do you guys like the matte better? I like color but still just a bit dry for me. Also, Pretty Vulgar’s Silent Matte Lip Treatment is quite good for over and under matte lip products if you guys haven’t tried it. 💋

I've tried both the Shine and Matte formulas.  The matte is very comfortable and lasts awhile.  It lasted through a doctor's appointment is all I can say. lol

That Shine formula though- it is a mess.  The colors are absolutely stunning, but it will take work to apply it neatly.  Probably with a lip brush, blot, then apply again.

@Ispend2much6 I hear you on them but did you try to blot it with your finger lightly etc? I know a bit messy but once I did that and let it sit a minute it looked quite good. And that was even the red one. Just an idea and my 2 cents because I was determined to like it! Lol It feels more comfortable than the matte to me but I hate a dry lip feeling anymore!

@Sunnysmom  I guess my lip line has really disappeared, because even that didn't work for me.  I'll try the one I have with a lip liner to see if it helps.  I was surprised how comfortable the matte was for me, but I did use a balm underneath.

Just wanted to come back and post some swatches after receiving my BobbiBrown Highlight and Glow palette after using my Gilt City voucher on the Bobbi Brown website. The palette is 15g so compared to a Becca Highlighter at 7.9g, I thought this was a good value a $42 with voucher. This is each of the three colors swatched swirled together.

I'm the same way, @Luvstravel. I use a BB highlighter palette more frequently than individual highlighters. So that I use what I have, I keep a small Chanel box of makeup items to use in my routine that week (eyeshadow palettes, blush, highlighters, etc.) or until the product is used (e.g. brow liner, eyeliner, mascara, concealers, etc). 😊

Thanks @TraceyEB. I have a few of the single bricks, but find I use palettes more. My singles get shoved in a drawer sometimes, not to be seen for months 🙄 I've put a basket of my favorite palettes (now including my new Charlotte Tilbury) on my counter!
