Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
@blackkitty2014 I've only not liked one of the recipes from that site!
A Thanksgiving practice meal. 🙂 I saw on the Aldi Nerd Facebook page that people were making their boxed stuffing mix, filling slices of turkey lunchmeat with it, then baking it with gravy.
I had gone to Trader Joe's and had some of their cornbread stuffing mix (it's really good,) so I made that, sliced Aldi's cooked turkey breast portion (Jennie-O brand,) and topped with Trader Joe's boxed gravy.
I didn't eat it, but the rest of my family liked it. And it's easy (but loaded with salt.)
I have to think plain fresh chicken tenders or fresh boneless turkey breast would work the same, and be healthier.
Every once in a while we can all handle a little sodium (& we use TJ's gravy too)!! This look AMAZING! & thanks for the stuffing tip! I can't believe I've never tried it! 🤦♀️😂 Yum!
@BaseballJen Sorry I didn't respond to your comment earlier; I just saw it. Just so you know, people can be notified of your comments if you tag their name with a @ first.
Have you been to TJ's lately? 😊
@Ispend2much6 i can tell how good it is when the whole family approved 👍😋 My son already asked for turkey 😂
@blackkitty2014 Lucky you! I'm the only one in the family that likes turkey; that's alot for one person to eat. lol They'll eat it, but prefer ham. Going to try to have both this year (but that 1/4 ham takes up so much space in the fridge...)
So I made this today but instead of serving with rice, I make shrimp salad. Soooo easy if you have an air fryer. I used 16 jumbo shrimps and cut everything down proportionally
@blackkitty2014 Mmm those look delish! I need to get me an air fryer.
@blackkitty2014 You are such a good cook! Have you ever made scallops in the air fryer?
Butcher Box mail order meat company is giving a free turkey with their box. I heard their scallops are really good, plus their brand of organic chicken is the best I've ever had (a couple of local stores sell it,) so I'm thinking about ordering from them.
Thx you @Ispend2much6 . I’m far from a good cook. I still have some left over scallops so I will try with the air fryer this weekend and will report back. I made crispy tilapia over the weekend and it’s pretty delicious 😋
Homemade peanut butter cups Pumpkin shaped.
@quspork They were actually really good. Thank you so much.
@lmaster It was actually really good and only required 5 ingredients. My husband said more peanut butter and less chocolate. I think I did okay for it being my first time.
Wow those look professional, @SportyGirly125! So pretty.
@eshoe Aww thank you. We shared the first one with my son and then my husband ate the other 2 later in the week.
@SportyGirly125 They're adorable! And tasty I'm sure.
@Ispend2much6 They were actually pretty good. Thank you!
