I’ve wanted to start this for so long but never got around to it. Back in the day I think I had a similar thread and I wanted to bring it back.

What a fun thread! I happen to be a pagan myself. I keep an image of a goddess of beauty on my mantel and show her my new makeup buys when they arrive. Beauty is its own form of magic, after all. 😄

What an awesome thread! I never expected to find this here. I was athiest until age 25. (Just turned 34.) I had an experience that changed my life and made me become obsessed with learning everything I could about the paranormal. I involved myself in certain activities, ghosthunting and various forms of spirit communication. The more I did these things, the more frequently I would experience paranormal occurrences. I even have very frequent accurate predictions. Small things, usually. My husband and I always joke that Im psychic, but idk if I was born that way or if dabbling like I do caused it, since that is when it started.But before that, I never would have entertained the idea anyway as I was a total skeptic. So if I did have it, I would have tuned it out. I am excited to read everyone elses posts and maybe, eventually, share experiences of my own.

Cool @Ashes810! Can't wait to read your stories!  I agree with everyone below. Everyone is psychic... some people have it developed more than others but everyone has the ability.  I read recently that some schools are teaching kids to use that sense. Thought that was pretty cool!

@Ashes810  I truly believe that most everyone has the capacity to be psychic, just like most everyone has the capacity to walk or run. However, just like any other skill/activity, the more you do it, the more skilled you become at it.   I am really excited to hear that you were atheist and are now a believer with lots of experiences. I believe that when we know we are connected to 'bigger things' it makes us happier. Welcome!

I totally believe this @mermadelove. Children especially before they are taught to switch it off, I think.

I agree with this! Children, because they live in the moment and are simply responding to stimuli, are closer to the Almighty then we are. I believe that they are actually closer to animals than humans, in the sense that animals never lose the ability to constantly live in the moment and are constantly enveloped in prayer and worship of God. It's our surrounding world and the way our minds are conditioned to respond to it that draws us away from how we were as children, and I suppose the faithful life is one where we are trying to constantly shake off the world and get back to God- get back to how we were as children.

@veronika23@mermadelove thanks for the sweet welcome. I primarily do Reiki and angel/spirit guide readings.  Interesting all the sensitive empaths on this forum..wonder how that connects with celebrating beauty.  Maybe it's the right or safety in being witchy woo woo and celebrating beauty and know that's not going to end badly.  Loving all the stories though. Get shivers with a number of them.

@melanito  I think for me the connection is beauty on all levels, and also the chance to express our creativity and 'otherworldyness' though how we chose to present ourselves to the world! And on other days it's about using tools to blend in with the muggles. LOL
