I’ve wanted to start this for so long but never got around to it. Back in the day I think I had a similar thread and I wanted to bring it back.

I’ve got no stories of my own to share but this thread is such a great read!!! I’m very much open to the idea of past lives.  @veronika23

Thanks @heartsmyface 🙂   Yeah I find that knowing more about your past lives helps you understand the reason why you are a certain way or experiencing certain things... you know.  It can explain things you wouldn't otherwise be able to explain.

@veronika23 Have you ever come across the book "an autobiography of a yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda?

It is such a good read. Exceptional. My mom gifted it to me and since reading it I have gifted it to countless people. In a way, it has made me more self-aware - helped me quite a bit along my spiritual path. I think you will love it!

@veronika23  I think past lives explain LOTS of things. Like that 'instant recognition' of people you've never met. Or some peolpe's incredible "natural talent' at certain things, recognizing places that you've never been to before, why I ALWAYS manage to be surrounded by Irish and Scottish people. And how when I finally got around to taking Irish step,and Celiegh Dancing, the instructor said "Have you done this before?" My response: "Not in this lifetime" ( but I REALLY missed it!!!)

@mermadelove I have been drawn to Ireland and England for the longest time. The first time I went to Ireland I went by myself. I rented a car and basically if it looked interesting I stopped. 😁 I had a lovely time traipsing about the countryside alone. I also have a particular interest in the Tudor era in England and felt very drawn to moving to the Boston area. I have no Irish or English background and no one in my family has any ties to New England

@jozkid I thought it was’only’ a past life connection thing with my English Irish Scottish  thing but it turns out that on my dad’s side I have English and Irish Great and Great Great grandparents. This is what happens when your ancestors are from a Caribbean Islnad. EVERYONE traveled through there back in the day!!!!!

@mermadelove   I think it explains a lot too!  Hahaha nice reply!!! Oh the instant recognition I SOOOOO believe in... like people you just like from the get go... OMG so much yes!!!  I have met people like that... and turns out we shared a past life!!!

Interesting.  I don't have any past life memories but I have had that "instant connection" with people.   I saw my husband from across the gym when we were 16 and my first thought was "I need to know him."  We'll celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this year.  One of my friends and I have only actually known each other for 2 years, but we've both said many times that it's eerie how we instantly felt like we'd know each other all our lives.

I wish I'd found this thread ages ago!  It's going to take me forever to read through all of it!

@veronika23   Exactly!!! Same here!!! It's gotten to the point where when I meet someone and that happens ( in person) I skip all the ceremony and say "Nice to see you again."  LOLOLOLOL!!!!
