Ok so I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. I've also been wanting to start a "random thoughts" thread...but I figured I'd separate the categories so that at least the "beauty" one is on the front page, rather than hidden in off topic. So, have a beauty-related thought but don't think it's worth starting a thread about ? Post it here !

today I got a facial at an extraordinarily nice spa. A real treat. And the results were immediate and truly great. But guys: she pulled out a clarisonic and a foamy cleanser for that first initial cleanse, and I nearly had a heart attack. Great for a lot of people but most of you know how I feel about those things !!!!!! Overall, as I said, it was great and my skin is happy. But sheesh.

Unfortunately, when I was younger, after school, I was drinking some cocoa that was left out on the table from the morning.  I swallowed a few lumps of cocoa thinking my mom didn't stir it up well that morning.  I felt another lump and thought, "Gee, that's really lumpy cocoa today!"  I looked at the mug and right at the lip was a young roach. (Now I estimate it to be a nymph so, not babies, not fully grown.) Yup!  I was drinking cochroaches!

Oh, heck yeah!  If I'm lucky and they land on my front, I'm wearing a contrasting color so I can see them and brush them off.  If I feel anything on my head, I just slam my hand down on top of my scalp and rub vigorously.  *shiver*

I had a spider on me once, I was in bed and felt this weird tickle on my leg under the cover. I pulled the covers and this huge daddy longlegs spider was crawling up my leg. I never pulled off my pants and ran as fast as I did in that moment. True story.

I can't believe you said this. No lie, two days in a row in two different bathrooms, spiders have dropped from the ceiling while I'm peeing. Total nightmare 😄

Toilets are their prime attack areas!   Bathrooms.  Never safe.

Once, I went to pee and in my sleepy, half-closed eyes state without my glasses on, I thought why's the toilet seat gray up near the hinges?  I moved in closer and it was a bunch of spiders that had newly hatched and were swarming the seat and the toilet.  Some even made it up to the counter and a few were hanging around the sink.  I didn't have any pesticide so I soaked them all with Lysol spray and smashed them with paper towels.  I didn't want to pee in the toilet so I took a shower and peed there instead.   😞
