Ok so I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. I've also been wanting to start a "random thoughts" thread...but I figured I'd separate the categories so that at least the "beauty" one is on the front page, rather than hidden in off topic. So, have a beauty-related thought but don't think it's worth starting a thread about ? Post it here !

today I got a facial at an extraordinarily nice spa. A real treat. And the results were immediate and truly great. But guys: she pulled out a clarisonic and a foamy cleanser for that first initial cleanse, and I nearly had a heart attack. Great for a lot of people but most of you know how I feel about those things !!!!!! Overall, as I said, it was great and my skin is happy. But sheesh.

I know! I'm used to the SAs being happy to help and extremely friendly and forward with information, even more than just answering my questions.  To be completely turned down in an empty store was a bit of a shock.

I love this. dh and I went to lunch with a friend who was in town who lives WAY out of state. He hasn't seen me (in person) since I started wearing makeup. But I showed up to lunch with (what is quickly becoming my signature look) red lips, cat eye glasses, and a head scarf. And his initial reaction was "You look fantastic!!" And a little part of me thought, "Yes, yes I do." 

That's like revolutionary for me. 🙂

I'm having a good day as well. I got a compliment immediately after arriving at work, saying my eyes and face looked extra bright today. Much better than the "You look tired" that I got from someone else a few days ago.

So I was just going to comment on your "I think I have a gif problem" post about how I love your gifs and it's definitely not a problem, and then I scrolled and saw Al Bundy!! - you don't have a gif problem, you have a gif gift!! You are blessing me with them;)

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, which would explain why I tend to find gifs to be way more enjoyable and represent my reaction to threads way better than anything I can write. 😄

I was Mocha, I was.  I had a lunch date with my girlfriend and she called me a - lipstick "lady of the evening".  Compliments were getting tossed left, right, and center!
