The "Rules"

To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections.  For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.

Getting Started (please share the following)

• Which item(s) you would like to work on
• How long you will work on said item
• Goal: explore a new item, revisit an old item, decide whether to keep pass or trash, and/or completely finish item, etc.
• Starting photo of item

Please Use This Thread To...

• share what item(s) you are working on,
• provide comparative progress photos of your item(s) monthly (at the beginning of the month when possible),
• ask questions,
• encourage others,
• motivate others with the looks you create with your item(s)

Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:

• Take photos!!  When you think you aren’t making a dent in anything look back at those photos, I’m certain you’ll see some changes 😃 *this is the number one recommendation for everyone, regardless of how long you’ve been panning! Those photos add up and can help you realize progress you might otherwise overlook.
• If you goal is to hit pan or use something up entirely, try concentrating your brush/applicator in the same area each time you use it
• Multitask your products: eyeshadows as highlighter, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as brow powder, etc. 
• Layer eyeshadow to create different colors (this is especially helpful to get use out of shades you’re not fond of).
• Have shadows with a ton of fall out?  Use water
• Watching the progress of others’ can be fun but try not compare your progress to theirs.  We all use our makeup differently and have different goals.
• Don’t restrict yourself to only using the item(s) you are working on.  It’s more than OK to incorporate other items or take a break!
• Makeup should be fun….if you begin to dread doing your makeup because you made a commitment to use a product that you now hate, TOSS IT!  Do not force yourself to use up something you don’t like.  Move on to something else!  (This includes excluding particular shades from your goals if focusing on palettes, etc.)

Ideas to Help You Pan Those Items:

• Roll the dice: number your items and use a random number generator to pick what you will use each (day/week/month/etc.) 
• Layer/Mask: items you are less fond of under things you like
• Pan a Look: at the beginning of the week pick a look that you can wear everyday
• Recreate: a look worn by a fellow BICer, celebrity, etc.
• Spice up an "everyday" look by adding subtle pops of color (in the crease or on the lower lash line, mix lip products to make shades wearable, etc.)

You are getting there! Life stuff happens, i know once the winter coats go away i won't be able to get away with the fragrances I've been getting to use up. (due to scent restrictions on the city bus annndd i dont know about anyone else but wasps love me to much when I'm scented,so spring will be interesting)

Be proud of how much you've done despite your set backs. You got this!

I want to hit pan for three products this year. I don’t wear makeup all the time maybe once a month so this may be difficult but we’ll see!!  From left to right the Nars Setting powder the Charlotte tilbury bronzer and the danessa myrics blurring balm. 

The month of January though I’ve hit pan or the bottom of my necessaire body serum. Repurchasing my third one now!!

I’ve been loving it. It’s not as warm as I would like to be considered a bronzer for me but it’s beautifully soft!

Wow, those are great products in your routine @Krismorganj ❣️ That’s awesome that you’ve finished another bottle of the Necessaire body serum - it’s so good, isn’t it? It’ll be great to see you work through another bottle and to see much of these beauties you use this year!

I've been a little all over the place so my Feb update is a wee bit late...  My big win has been polishing off a MAC lipglass.  I had this in my pocket all of January and while I wasn't a big fan of the shade (too light for my liking) I don't mind the formula at all and it's one more MAC product to get Back to Mac before M31. My monthly booooo... was the MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation.  I was hoping that I'd be able to finish this before M31... Not a chance.  I'm not actually a fan of the formula at all.  I'll keep it in rotation until I get to a MAC store, but this one can go back full if needed.  

I'm very happy with the Summer Friday's progress. This mask is much better for me as a wash off.I thought the MAC Fix + and the concealer would go quicker, but that's okay. Perfume is used more as a room spray tbh.The Lipglass is out and the Lip Oil is in. I really quite like this lip oil, it leaves a nice bright stain and feels great. I actually have a back up of this so I'm happy to use it up and get it going back to mac. Hoping to finish by early March.I have been wearing bronzer every time I do my make up as both bronzer and shadow. I just want to hit pan lol! The Joe Fresh liner is more of a stiff formula that I've been wearing very consistently but that I do like. It's going to take longer to finish than I thought, but I have faith it'll be done this year.
