Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

Can Sephora ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora because I don’t know who is raising kids these days but they have no respect for personal space and the products we use they just want to have bragging rights and they mess up all the testers for the rest of us who spend our hard earned money!

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

16 is absolutely ridiculous. I think anyone should be able to come to sephora as long as they are kind and respectful. Not all teens should have to suffer just because a few 10 year olds are being rude. Sephora workers can politely ask individual troublemakers to leave the store. Plus, if they put an age limit on sephora, there would be a huge public outcry and sephora could be permanentely closed. Also, how would they check people's age? A twelve year old could easily put on some eyeliner and jeans and become 16.

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

I think the age limit should be 11 or 12 NOT 16

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

Yes!

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

They should not ban kids because not all kids are rude and where else do they go since toy r us closed and justice is only online

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

16 is ridiculous not every person under that age is going into sephora acting like a psychopath. it’s a matter of teaching your children how to act and making those who do destroy sephora reap the consequences

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

  1. 16 is ridiculous yes there are kids that are rude but any age limit is so ridiculous
  2. kid’s these days like Sephora bc they look up to the older kids
  3. the other day I was in Sephora and 16 year olds were ruining the testers
  4. i think that if you go Sephora you have to be nice to the employees
  5. and clean up the messes you made
  6. and if Sephora puts these rules out it would be good
  7. so that kids won’t be judged
  8. and the stores stay as nice as it was when it opened

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

No it should no be banned for those under 16 I think 12+ 13+ or 14+ should be a good age for when people can go to Sephora. Because people when they are around 12 and older are a little more mature it’s mainly those 10 and under

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

I’ve just stopped shopping at Sephora because it’s disaster area and the kids ruin the simple experience of browsing and shopping. They’re so rude, hateful and just out of control and NO ONE does anything to stop it!

What happened to you break it you buy it?
Anyway, I agree unaccompanied kids should not be allowed inside much less to rampage a store and treat employees and other adult customers like trash.

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

While I understand some kids are destroying stuff but to punish everyone is absurd as a kid I would get assigned cheer makeup and they’d get sold at Sephora so I wouldn’t have been able to get it and I started going ti Sephora at 12, but always accompanied by and adult by my side and never destroyed stuff so it’s absurd to punish everyone

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

Your mom could buy cheer makeup or your coach can from walmart or something, Sephora isn’t the only place that sells makeup btw

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

I agree with you to an extent, but 16 is completely absurd.

Many teenage girls are interested in skincare and makeup, so it is natural for them to gravitate towards the makeup store. Especially with social media these days.

The real issue is the parents. The reason why so many younger kids have no respect in stores is because of their parents’ inability to parent. They give their children ipads and let them fend for themselves; then these children start seeing beauty influencers online & want to be like them. Their early access to social media is what’s making them wanna act so grown.

However, MANY people under 16 are still respectful in store settings. It seems pretty unfair to punish all of them for the behaviour of a portion of kids. I have been going to Sephora alone since I was maybe 14? & have never encountered any issues. I worked during the Summer and made money to buy stuff because I was really into skincare and dermatology (still am lol).

I personally find no issue with kids at Sephora as long as they are buying age-appropriate product & not making a mess. Emphasis on the age-appropriate! No one seems to remember that these days.

(BTW most of this isn’t directed at you, I just wanted to let my thoughts out on this whole situation </3)

Re: Ban kids under 16 years of age from Sephora!

@IAteABarOfSoap first love your name, it gave me a little laugh that I needed

I agree! Not all children in Sephora are rude and disrespectful. I’ve been let alone in Sephora with my friend before, and because we remember boundaries, the workers were kind and we addressed them as we should. It’s definitely parents faults for raising their children like this though
