We’re sharing a bittersweet message today—this coming August we will be retiring this Forum. We know, we’re bummed too.

For more than 15 years, our Beauty Insider Community has been a place for Sephora die-hards to talk about their favorite products, ask questions about routines, and show off their favorite looks. While this was a difficult decision, we've loved seeing this group thrive and we're incredibly proud of what we've built together.

We'll be here every step of the way as we start to wind things down. 🤝 Here's what to expect along the way...

• June 3: The Forum will become read-only and will only be accessible on desktop or mobile (no more app!). This means that you have until June 3 to make your final contributions to your favorite threads (Masking Challenge! Shop Your Stash! April Hauls!), revisit any favorite posts, and connect with your fellow BIC-ers.
• Your Community profile will also be retired on June 3, and your profile photo will be replaced with Winky. REMINDER: Community Gallery is not going away, so your Gallery posts and profile are here to stay!
• Mid-August: Community Forum and its posts will no longer be accessible.

Have no fear! There are still plenty of ways to stay connected with us:

When is the last day I can use the Forum?

The last day to contribute new posts and content to the Forum is June 3. Starting June 3, Forum content will remain available in a read-only state until early August, so be sure to copy or take any screenshots you may want to save in the meantime!

If the Forum is going away, how do I get in touch with Sephora?

There are still ways to connect with us! Find us on social, or head to our customer service hub here: sephora.com/beauty/customer-service

Will Reviews, Q&A, and Gallery continue to be supported long‑term?

Yes! We hope you continue posting your selfies, shopping hauls, and videos on the Gallery, sounding off on products in Ratings & Reviews, and sharing your beauty expertise in Questions & Answers on product pages.

What happens to my profile picture?

Customized profile photos will be going away on June 3 as part of the Forum closure.

What happens to my username or nickname?

Your Community username is here to stay! It will continue to be associated with any Gallery posts, Ratings and Reviews on product pages, or Question & Answer content you share.

What happens to my badges, ranks, or status levels?

We will say goodbye to Community badges and ranks (for example, FRESH FACE II, RISING STAR III, ICON I) when the Forum retires. Your Beauty Insider tier (Insider, VIB, or Rouge) or any progress on active Beauty Insider Challenges will not be affected! Your BI points will also be unaffected.

Will all my content go away?

Only your Forum content—including your profile (sephora.com/profile/me) and posts—will be going away as we say goodbye to the Community Forum. We encourage you to continue sharing content with your fellow Sephora shoppers on the Community Gallery, Ratings & Reviews on product pages, and Questions & Answers on product pages!

Is there a way to save my posts?

We encourage you to save down any photos or screenshots you want to keep of your beautiful Forum content before it closes! To see all of your posts, go to the Forum home at community.sephora.com and then click “My Posts” to see your activity history.

How long will I have access to save my content ?

You will have the ability to screenshot or save any of your content until the Forum closes in August.

What will happen to all my profile/account information?

Your Community profile (sephora.com/profile/me) will go away as we say goodbye to the Community Forum. You can continue to view your other Sephora information in the following places:

-Beauty Preferences: sephora.com/profile/beautypreferences

-Beauty Insider Summary: sephora.com/beautyinsider

-Account Settings: sephora.com/profile/myaccount

Will old Forum content redirect somewhere else on sephora.com?

Starting in August, previous Forum threads will be redirected to relevant shopping pages on sephora.com or, in some cases, the Gallery.

I have really neglected this community the last few years as my attention has been drawn in a million directions, but I always thought I'd still be able to come home to BIC or BT, as I still fondly think of this space.

I joined this community in 2014 (I think?), which was before I even had Facebook, let alone Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube.

You were my first real online community.🥺

I used to spend hours on here chatting about makeup, skincare and everything else under the sun. From heart parties to RAC gift exchanges to friendships, of which some have spanned over a decade, I hold so many memories close to my heart.

We got through the pandemic together! And the changeover from BT to BIC! And the end of Bite Beauty and Marc Jacobs Beauty and Becca! And the Too Faced Sweet Peach launch (who still remembers that?!) And weddings and babies and graduations and even losses of our loved ones. This was/is a true community.🫶🏻

Meeting friends here IRL at SEPHORiA 2018 was a highlight of my life and continuing to see everyone over the past few SEPHORiA events was special, but I guess I took it for granted these last few years and I wish I'd spent more time on here recently. 

Thank you to @TeamBIC for everything over the years and thank you to everyone in the community, my friends, who have been there through so much! I love you all and hope we can keep in touch!

@Tamara76 Let’s not forget that you were one of the first Sephora Squad members. Totally fitting for what content you shared on here. I am thankful that we are still able to chat about life off and on BIC. Thank you for your wonderful friendship as well as the unicorn mail exchanges. You are one of a kind.

And you are 1,000% correct - I absolutely credit this community and my family here with helping me make it on to the inaugural Sephora Squad, which was life changing in many ways! That is even more reason this is hitting me so hard. I honestly think I'm still in shock. 😞

We still got the gallery but it can sometimes take 24 hours before your post appears.  The forum was immediate.  Also when you post in the gallery after a couple weeks post gets buried never to be seen again.  With the forum it's always around. It can be 6 months since I posted it but in the groups it can still be current.  Sometimes people will make a comment or give a heart on something I posted months ago. The gallery doesn't work like that. Ive only been here a year and a half but it's been alot of fun. Even when I wasn't posting i could go in the community and give hearts out to blushed out cheeks or pink looks that i admired.  I still had story's I wanted to tell. I wanted to do A STORY TIME WITH SISSYBOI  post were I do a makeup gangster version of fairy tales like little red riding hood but with a makeup gangster twist. Or THE ADVENTURES OF SISSYBOI  where im a makeup gangster who hangs out at the mall but works as a private detective at night solving crimes around the BIC  or the mall. These stories would revolve around makeup products  and fashion.  When I post reviews u can only post so many words.  Im so bummed out.

@sissyboi72 I have been away from this community for a while, so we have not had a chance to interact, but if you are comfortable on camera, I absolutely think your story times would kill on Tik Tok!

Also, I am sorry you had a bad experience on here - The old BT was not always as welcoming as the new BIC and I had some unfriendly interactions in my early days, too. I am sad that this happened again. 😞

Hi @Tamara76 ! Wish I could of met u sooner.  My experience here was awesome.  I joined a year and a half ago. I introduced myself on Introduce Yourself Mondays and was greeted immediately by @SportyGirly125  and other members of the community.  I was overwhelmed.  I didn't expect much I thought everyone would turn there back to me( im a total oddball). Exact opposite everyone made me feel so invited to the  community.  If you should ever read a review of mine mostly gloss ( Makeup Forever Super Boost, Lawless Lip Fillers lip gloss, Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Whatabrat. My review and posts are out there everything from SPACE ALIENS  to makeup gangs faux fur jackets chopper motorcycle.  Some people don't like my sense of humor . Its just my way of having fun.  I just see things differently want to tell a story and hopefully bring a smile to someone. Nothing but ❤️ for everyone in the community.  I might try to get one more post before this all comes to a end . My favorite product's up to this  points ( story time with sissyboi).

I will @danielledanielle ,I'll figure out a way to make it work.  I wanted to thank you. 6 months after I joined the community another member of the community didn't like some of my post and started to rant on me. You immediately got involved checked the member and they backed off. Thank you. I always appreciated what u did. I always looked forward to your comments or hearts on my post's. I hope you enjoyed what I had to offer i hope everyone did. I just wanted to make everyone smile and maybe laugh for a minute.
