Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

Monthly Favorites: June 2023Monthly Favorites: June 2023

It’s finally summer, BIC! But here in San Francisco, it hardly feels like it. 🌦 What’s my favorite way to counteract this June gloom, you might ask? Aside from splurging at Sephora (oops), this month I’ve enjoyed streamlining my hair routine with a fancy new tool, channeling summer vibes with a glowy SPF, gluing my unruly eyebrows down until I’ve reached lamination-worthy perfection, and brightening my complexion. I refuse to let my skin be as dull as this Bay Area weather. And with a little help from my new June faves, things are starting to look up… as far as my beauty routine is concerned, at least! 🌞

Here are the products that have me feeling jazzed this June:

What about you, BIC? Reply below and let us know what products you’ve been reaching for most often this month.  Don’t forget to tag those products with the “#” symbol (hair, makeup, fragrance, wellness, skincare, etc.)!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@MackenzieRaeS  Great favs! I love the merit blush too!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@MackenzieRaeS I love a red blush moment on everyone!  Hope you love your new blush as much as your current fav!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

Ooooh great favorites, @MackenzieRaeS! That Merit shade is so pretty 🤩

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@MackenzieRaeS red blushes can be so flattering!  I hope that you love the one you just ordered.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

Great favs @MackenzieRaeS ! Does the REFY Brow Sculpt Shape and Hold Gel with Lamination Effect 0.28 oz/ 8.5 mL leave flakes on you? I purchased this when it first came out but ended up returning but I feel like I need to try it again 😅

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

It does a little bit but if you brush them through and set them quick it’s much less to deal with. I love the hold so I don’t mind it that much!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

I had fun peaking through my accumulated make up box (I'm trying to pull make up out and leave it in a box as I use it so I remember to use a wider variety of make up every month) to pick out my latest fav's!

CAY SKIN Isle Glow Face Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 45 with Sea Moss and Niacinamide 1.5 oz / 45 mL SUPER glowy, and needs a shake before use, but I've gone through a couple of these now and I'm quite enjoying the SPF and moisture factor.

Peach & Lily Glass Skin Veil Mist -- Very fine mist, that takes down any powder and feels so refreshing.  Any glow is really just a look of hydration.

MILK MAKEUP Hydro Grip Eyeshadow and Concealer Primer I bought this to use on my dark circle/concealer/colour corrector and... meh, but it's working really nicely as a shadow primer.  I'd been off primers of any sort for a while now and this is bringing me back!  Shadow doesn't crease and really does last longer than without

Victoria Beckham Beauty Cheeky Posh in RollerSkate - Such a nice bright pink that sits well on my skin tone for summer looks.

MAC Cosmetics Powder Kiss Soft Matte Eye Shadow Felt Cute Its a pale pink shade that I thought was going to blend into my skin tone, but it gives juuuuust enough of a soft pink one and done shadow that I'm feeling 'done' without feeling overdone for work or play. Perfect for mornings when I'm half asleep.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Poutsicle Hydrating Lip Stain Mai Type Both Mai Type and Berry Banger have been getting lots of use.  I've always loved a lip stain and these are great.  The Summer LE are on their way to me!

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Stain Wonder is lovely.  I've been using it as a stain, as a lip oil I find it meh... but I love a stain!

Ami Colé Hydrating Lip Treatment Oil in Reflection was a gift courtesy of @TeamBIC and Ami Cole in the Summer Gratis Box.  Ami Colé isn't available on the Canadian site and I'm very much looking forward to a US trip this summer to check out some new shades because this formula!!! It's so nice, a beautiful cushion-y, non sticky, but with a lovely thickness that feels nourishing.  I've been wearing this over my lip stains and even just a lip liner since receiving.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@missjeanie Love these cute faves and your colorful backdrop! That MAC shadow is so pretty. 🌸 I've held off on the Rare Beauty lip oil for basically the reason you shared -- I want more of an oil than a stain! But I'm sure I'll cave and get it eventually LOL

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@AlexBT Super fun to test out different formulas, but as an oil... it's... lacking.  As a stain it's lovely.  Hope you get to try it out!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

These scream summer and love your pic and picks @missjeanie ! 😊 Great reminder to ship our stashes. The Cay wasn’t on my radar until now! I forgot I had a sample of P and L and now I have to try it. Love those VBB Cheekies! 💞

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@Sunnysmom Thanks!  The VBB Cheeky's are just so quick and easy to use!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@missjeanie I want to eventually try a few things from Peach and Lilly; I seem to hear mostly good things about their products.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@CookieGirl1 They've been a sleeper hit brand for me.  I've become quite a fan of their Glass Skin serum and Retinol Eye Cream as well as their Oil Cleanser.  I'm eager to try more from the brand as well.

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

Ahhh cheers to a vacation for you, @missjeanie! I hope your visit to the US is fancy-free and full of fun 😊

On another note, the RB lip oil had such a unique texture I thought as well…couldn’t put my finger in it, and the sample was enough to make me decide against it (but plunged for the Hope blush). I really love your description of the P&L mist; next in my list 😉

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@eshoe The texture of the RB lip oil wasn't what I was expecting either.  It does remind me of something, I just can't put my finger on it.  I wasn't really a huge fan of this on it's own, but it's really nice layered with the Ami Colé lip oil.  The RB seems to dry down quickly enough and is a much more muted shade than the Fenty stains.

And thank you!  First real vacation in a few years!!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

Omg @missjeanie, great favorites! I purchased the MILK MAKEUP Hydro Grip Eyeshadow and Concealer Primer for undereyes too and ended up returning... it definitely intensified my great divide under my eyes 🤣

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

@jaaayp I'm not a returner.. so it was bound to die at the bottom of my make up drawers.  I'm glad I gave it another shot as a shadow primer.  It doesn't quite dethrone my favourite NARS Pro-Prime™ Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base but I'm glad to have a use for it!

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

Oooh, makes sense @missjeanie @. I started returning when my friends gave me an intervention. They advised that THEIR drawers were filling up with things I gave them since I didn't like them 😂😂😂😂

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

  1. I’m love Lila! but didn’t understand what she meant?

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

I love your background @AlexBT , it’s so fun! Oh how I love Glowscreen too! This month sure does seem like it’s flown by. Will it be the holidays soon?! 😳😆 ( If so , yes to all the new fall makeup coming! Oops. )

I have been really loving the Summer Fridays Blush Balm Lip + Cheek Stick with Hyaluronic Acid Heat Wave. (PInk and Rose are subtle shades too, thank you for the inspiration @ather ! 🥰)  I wondered if it was going to be a little bit too matte or not pore-friendly but I should’ve kept the faith as it’s really a true smooth and balmy blush. This shade is pretty on the lips too but I prefer it on cheeks. Especially when using something like Hourglass Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powder Incandescent over it subtly. It reminds me of the cheek balms from EM or Violette_fr or a less pigmented less shiny Ami Colé. 🙃 I also use ILIA Balmy Tint Hydrating Lip Balm Wanderlust constantly during the day and this works well over the SF too. Or on the cheeks by itself. I’m all about the fast multi-taskers during the warm months. Charlotte Tilbury Mini Hollywood Flawless Filter 3 Fair mixed with La Mer The Hydrating Illuminator 1.4 oz/ 41 mL are all I need for a light soft daytime look and feel. Can’t handle anything that feels heavier. Done and done! Happy summer! 🌞

Re: Monthly Favorites: June 2023 Edition!

Happy, gorgeous and inspiring pic as always, @Sunnysmom. Hourglass makes some gorgeous glow powders, don’t they? And I spy that little Rouge brush; mine is among my favorite Rouge rewards 🥰 The CT might be a must for travel, thank you for the reminder!
