Monthly Favorites: June 2023

It’s finally summer, BIC! But here in San Francisco, it hardly feels like it. 🌦 What’s my favorite way to counteract this June gloom, you might ask? Aside from splurging at Sephora (oops), this month I’ve enjoyed streamlining my hair routine with a fancy new tool, channeling summer vibes with a glowy SPF, gluing my unruly eyebrows down until I’ve reached lamination-worthy perfection, and brightening my complexion. I refuse to let my skin be as dull as this Bay Area weather. And with a little help from my new June faves, things are starting to look up… as far as my beauty routine is concerned, at least! 🌞

I’m so happy I picked up LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C Mango last month. I used every single day since purchasing it and it’s been absolutely amazing! Sometimes I’m in a rush in the morning and I forget to apply some lip balm before I leave. The lip mask works so well, I can get through part of my day anyway without my lips feeling dry.

My June favorites are : 

HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Color Fuse Talc-Free Powder Blush with Fermented Arnica Lavender Blonde I always wanted to add a purple blush into my collection and I was so glad that Haus Labs release this shade. I already own their vibrant pink shade dragon fruit daze but this one is just stunning. The formula is easy to work with and the pigmentation is great. I adore this blush ! 

GXVE BY GWEN STEFANI Pick It Up Cream Contour & Talc-Free Powder Bronzer Duo Smokin' I guess I was influenced by Rose Siard on IG and I got this beautiful. The formula is beautiful, pigmented and ultra blendable. The cream bronzer/contour gives a beautiful sun kissed look and the powder compliments that. I love the packaging as well, very convenient for traveling. I don’t mind scented product, love it ! 

#beautyblender 12-Hour Always on Radiant Skin Tint with Hyaluronic Acid & Niacinamide Deep 4 I love this skin tint so much and I can say it resists to Texas heat. The formula feels lightweight onto the skin and blends seamlessly. I have more combo to dry skin and this one works wonders on me. I got the shade Light 4 which was a Perfect match. The coverage is buildable as well, but more on the medium side in my opinion. I like it so far ! Even if you don’t use powder on top of it it still looks pretty. 

Sol de Janeiro When in Rio Perfume Mist 3.04 oz is also a summer favorite. The scent is citrusy and refreshing because it has bergamot in it. I would say it stays quite long on clothes but not really on the skin and overall, I think it’s a great body mist for summer. Not overwhelming, perfect ! My local Sephora held the last one so I was glad to grab it because it’s out of stock online (it was a limited edition). 

NATASHA DENONA Yucca Eyeshadow Palette beautiful harmony of greens tones ! I love love love this palette. The shade camu camu is my favorite because it always add a pop of color to any eye look. Shimmers are beautiful and mattes blend so easily. 

i also got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmos Eyeshadow Palette which I love so much as well ! I reach for it when I want colorful summer looks but I would say I will also use it for fall and winter. Duo chromes shades are just phenomenal ! They’re so creamy and pigmented. Mattes are great too but the duo chromes are the best thing in this palette. 

These are my June favorites. I just got the new Denona concealer and I’m still try it so maybe it will be in my July favorites we will see 😹

I'm a little late with my June 2023 favorites. These beauties have been reached for often @AlexBT, with a couple items being a fixture in my rotation well before June.

RANAVAT Regenerative Veda⁴ Bond Repair Shampoo - Mighty Majesty 8 oz / 236 mL has extended the time I can go without feeling the absolute need to wash my hair. I've gone from needing (or feeling the need) to wash it every day to get up to 3-4 days between washes. 👏 Hoping this track record keeps up as the weather warm & my scalp and skin lean a lot more oily. 

OUAI Hydrating Scalp Serum for Healthy, Fuller Looking Hair 2 oz / 60 mL (gratis) definitely supports the healthy scalp = healthy hair equation. My hair looks more shiny (not greasy), feels softer and looks more full when I use this serum consistently. Thank you @TeamBIC! 💝

I am loving the variety of mineral sunscreens with zero white cast hitting the market. A recent addition to my SFP lineup is the Kosas DreamBeam Silicone-Free Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40 with Ceramides and Peptides DreamBeam the whipped, mousse-like consistency, slight tint, and blurring & brightening effects make it a  super easy-peasy option for getting ready in the morning. The inclusion of ceramides and peptides are extra's I don't mind having at all in my sunscreen. 

I have to thank @Nahnom for the LYS Beauty Speak Love Lip Liner Pencil Romantic - she put this on my radar when she posted about the launch of the LYS lipstick and lip liners earlier this year. I love that the liner glides easily over my lips, without tugging or pulling, even when they're on the drier side. Romantic has been a go to for me in June and the early days this month, paired with whatever clear lip balm, oil or gloss suits my mood for the day (or is within easy reach).

Fresh, clean, woodsy and floral notes blend together beautifully in the Diptyque Seoul City Candle. Happy to have this in my Diptyque candle collection but I've been burning this sparingly since it's limited edition

Ouai's scalp serum makes my scalp feel so refreshed and my hair looks so good when I use it daily. I enjoy it's scent alot to. It smells like it belongs in a spa. 😇

I'm very impressed with both of these products.

I started taking the HUM gummies about a month and a half ago. Both my fingernails and toenails are less brittle; my toenails have improved the most.

I tried to pick a jagged piece of a toenail with my fingers and most of the toenail lifted off of the toe.

That's not good, but the nail has grown back halfway already, and that's pretty quick!

My face seems less dry and more clear also.

Science lesson for the day- HA mixes with elastin fibers to form a matrix with collagen and improve nail elasticity.  I'm also taking their Red Carpet supplement.

I have loved the Kiehl's mask for years, but discovered a new way to use it.

I forgot to rinse it out during my shower yesterday,  I thought my haircwould be greasy looking, but it turned out so well when it air-dried!

It gave my hair alot of moisture and my curls some structure and body, even on day 2.
