Monthly Favorites: June 2023

It’s finally summer, BIC! But here in San Francisco, it hardly feels like it. 🌦 What’s my favorite way to counteract this June gloom, you might ask? Aside from splurging at Sephora (oops), this month I’ve enjoyed streamlining my hair routine with a fancy new tool, channeling summer vibes with a glowy SPF, gluing my unruly eyebrows down until I’ve reached lamination-worthy perfection, and brightening my complexion. I refuse to let my skin be as dull as this Bay Area weather. And with a little help from my new June faves, things are starting to look up… as far as my beauty routine is concerned, at least! 🌞

I've wondered about that INNBeauty serum @jaaayp. I've had good experiences with several of their skincare products. That serum, along with a couple other items from the brand, are definitely on my "to try" list. It's great to know it's a favorite of yours.

@itsfi I'm really enjoying this brand too! I got their INNBEAUTY PROJECT The Healthy Skin Edit Bestsellers Kit and basically loved all of it! It was impossible to get my hands on their INNBEAUTY PROJECT Bright & Tight Dark Circle Firming Refillable Eye Cream with Vitamin C & Peptides ... # but I got it and can't wait to try it

Homg, the weather makes no sense @SportyGirly125 and @AlexBT.  It's 60s in NY and then hubbs is in Midwest where it was 90 this week??!!?  GIVE US SUMMER

"I refuse to let my skin be as dull as this Bay Area weather." I so hear ya on that one @AlexBT! I was not expecting that little bit of drizzle on my drive home last night. 😞 Love your backdrop in your monthly faves pic - it look great and lets your favorites shine!

I've had my eye on that Rare Beauty under eye brightener; may have to pop into a store to play with that. Between you and @ather, I think it's time I pull out my foil samples of that Summer Fridays brightening serum.

The weather pattern has definitely been a bit off this past spring and first couple days of summer @ather! That, unfortunately, can present a challenge for my skin. 😔 I'm adding my foil samples of the Summer Fridays CC Me Vitamin C + Niacinamide Serum 1.0 oz/ 30 mL to my July foils challenge mix. If you end up trying or the Rare Beauty under eye brightener, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I've been happy with the OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright+ Vitamin CC Eye Sticks for Dark Circles but am open to trying out the Rare Beauty or another under eye brightener. Always open to trying out new things 😉 For science, of course. When it comes to beauty products, I'm so committed to science. 🔬😂

@itsfi  I’ve used Summer Fridays Light Aura Vitamin C + Peptide Eye Cream .5 oz/ 15 mL and it was pretty good. Right now I am using The INKEY List Caffeine De-puffing + Dark Circle Eye Cream 15 ml and it also seems to work well. But I’m always on the hunt for a unicorn product that checks all my boxes!!

Fingers crossed the weather acts more like summer! We had a cold week and looks like summer should be back as of tomorrow!!

Also have you checked out Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer 1.86 oz / 55 ml  I’m curious how close it would be to Rhode RBC. I may need to test it out for science!!!

@ather, Tower 28 kindly sent me a deluxe sample of the SOS barrier moisturizer, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. That's going to sound like a broken record. Work's been very busy and I've been spending my free time on other things, non-beauty related things. Will have to give it a try; I'll let you know how it compares.
