Monthly Favorites: January 2025 Edition!

Hiya BIC, hope your year is off to a good start and January has treated you well! ✨ After some much needed rest over the holidays, I’ve been trying my best to ease back into the grind while taking special care of myself – s/o to our current 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 3 - Try out tools! for the assist. 💆‍ The weather is now at its coldest where I’m at, so moisturizing and hydration have been my top concerns this month.

I also make it my business to smell great—ALWAYS—and would be remiss if I didn’t plug the new Glossier You Doux EDP. 😍 I recently added to my fragrance collection, and she has quickly become a go-to. It’s the perfect warm & cozy, skin-like scent and layers well with other fragrances and scented body butters/lotions. 12/10 recommend 🙌

Loved hearing that you got some much needed R&R over the holidays @KhyleyBT‌‌ ❣️ It's hard to believe that was a month ago. Here we are, end of January - how did that happen so quickly?!! Here are my January favorites.

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Find Comfort: Awaken Confidence Bouncy Body Cream with Hyaluronic Acid 8... - I love peaches and peach scents 🍑 and this one does not disappoint. The mist in this collection is also very good, but the cream I reached for more frequently this month - keeps my skin moisturized and me smelling nice. 💗 We're twinning with this one @peculiarzmakeup!

Farmacy Honey Potion Plus Ceramide Hydration Mask followed by the Clarins Cryo-Flash Instant Lift Effect & Glow Boosting Face Mask 2.5 oz / 75 g is the warming - cooling combo I didn't know my face needed (or would love so much) until I paired them together late last month and I've been using them as part of my masking routine ever since. This dynamic duo leaves my skin smooth, supple, more firm, hydrated and brightened. 

Saint Jane Beauty Luxury Sun Ritual Pore Smoothing Face Sunscreen SPF 30 1.7 oz / 50 mL was part of last year's Sun Safetty Kit - I've gone through a full size and was happy to have this mini / travel size. It smooths, blurs and provides sun protection - it also sits well under makeup; I enjoy using it as a primer. 

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Skin Face Essentials – Longwear Full Face Cream Palette is one that, in hindsight, I wish I would have picked up earlier. But, I have it and have put it to use - in a few weekly capsules a la Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025. @KhyleyBT, this was one of your favorites last year - it's so good! It's a big part of how I was able to put my face together in less than 2 minutes - Sephora Six - Fast & Furious Edition! That means more time to sleep and I'm all for that! 😉

Yves Saint Laurent Couture Mini Clutch Eyeshadow Palette 100 Stora Dolls - she's a beauty and already looking like a much loved go-to eyeshadow palette for the year - that's a good thing as it's part of my Pan It! - 2025 Challenge.

@itsfi  Beautiful favs! Your flowers are so pretty! 😍 Saint Jane Beauty Luxury Sun Ritual Pore Smoothing Face Sunscreen SPF 30 1.7 oz / 50 mL  it is such a great one! One of my loves from the sun kit as well! Those palettes are beautiful! I can see how they became a January fav!!

@ather, the Saint Jane SPF is a quiet warrior in the fight against UV rays. The phrase “cosmetically elegant” gets thrown out a lot at times but the formulation on this one and how it glides over the skin really feels like the definition of “cosmetically elegant.”

I was really wanting to get use out of my palettes this month - they’ve worked out so well and I see myself digging into them more this year - both for their convenience and efficiency but also for how well they perform, especially these two.

I love that Yves Saint Laurent Couture Mini Clutch Eyeshadow Palette .  Great neutral shades for a fast makeup look!  @itsfi

@CorgiMommy, the entire shade range available for these YSL eyeshadow quads is beautiful. It’s well loved by many, for good reason! 👍🏼

@CookieGirl1, the formulation on these eyeshadows is wonderful and this color family is one I love and definitely find myself reaching for often. The packaging on it doesn’t hurt either. 😉

@PrettyPaint, I love the neutral to cool tones in Stora Dolls. 🫶🏻 They go on smoothly and wear well too - I can get a full day of wear without fallout or creasing (though I do wear a primer underneath, a must for my oily lids). If you like neutral cool tones, definitely look into this one. If you like warmer tones they also a warm toned quad - Over Brun.

Gorgeous faves! @itsfi  Yay for twinning! That lotion is seriously so good tho I was surprised at the size too when it came in the mail! The palletes are so stunning gorgeous shades! Such great skincare goodies as well ❤️

💯 @peculiarzmakeup, such a generous amount of product in the RB cream - that seems to be true for so many of the brand’s products - blush, highlighter, even the product samples! 😍 Ahhh, so many fabulous goodies in the beauty world - skincare and lip products were among my first beauty loves and that remains true to this day! 💖 

Thank you - I’ve been turning more of my attention to the palettes in my collection this year - project pan, makeup capsule challenge, etc.  They’re great - convenient, makes the whole getting ready faster and depending on the palette, all while offering options too, be it color, finishes or product type.

I am so surprised and excited of the shelf life of them as well it’s always such a fun discovery when a product has a longer lasting time frame, more time to explore looks and have fun and enjoy each one!

I think palletes are great for pan it, I’ve been working on mine and it is cool to assess it in such an organized and mindful way! These are fantastic ❤️ @itsfi

I love that you picked DM Groundwork palette for your pan it! challenge. There are different shades to focus on or combine. If you get tired of the palette, you can always take a break from it. I've hit pause a few times with project pan - sometimes I come back to the product as it is or repurposed, other times I decide to walk away for an extended time, a year or for good.

January is one of my favorite months,  a chance to really enjoy the snow or cozy up for a day indoors. 

My new beauty favorites are:

Pacha Soap Company Whipped Soap, i discovered these during the Sprouts' 20% off sale.  I love them both but the Coconut Papaya one makes my shower a tropical experience.   

Dyson Airwrap™ Multi-Styler Complete Long,  can you say soft, fluffy hair.  This was a surprise Christmas gift from my husband.  I have been having fun trying out new hairstyles, some successful and some I need more practice on.

dae Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream Original i received this in the summer gratis box but only used it a few times but with the airwrap it is now my new favorite styling cream.
