Monthly Favorites: January 2025 Edition!

Hiya BIC, hope your year is off to a good start and January has treated you well! ✨ After some much needed rest over the holidays, I’ve been trying my best to ease back into the grind while taking special care of myself – s/o to our current 2025 Skincare Check-In Challenge: Week 3 - Try out tools! for the assist. 💆‍ The weather is now at its coldest where I’m at, so moisturizing and hydration have been my top concerns this month.

I also make it my business to smell great—ALWAYS—and would be remiss if I didn’t plug the new Glossier You Doux EDP. 😍 I recently added to my fragrance collection, and she has quickly become a go-to. It’s the perfect warm & cozy, skin-like scent and layers well with other fragrances and scented body butters/lotions. 12/10 recommend 🙌

@peculiarzmakeup With hourglass palettes, I tend to mix the shades. I'm not sure what most people do, but I tend to use a large, fluffy blush and just mix them. I may play around and apply individual shades at some point, but I'm usually in such a rush in the morning that I do whatever is quickest. Luckily, most of the hourglass shades apply quite naturally in my opinion!

These look gooood! @PrettyPaint I only hear fantastic things about VB liners. Olive sounds like a beautiful shade.💚👌

I haven't smelt this version of Glossier perfume. It's it wierd that hearing it's a bit polarizing makes me more curious about it? 🤔 I might need to investigate further.

@CynthieLu Yeah, I didn't realize it was polarizing, but I happened to look up reviews. It seemed like a lot of people love it....but others not so much.

I have to say the products that perked up my days were the

Peter Thomas Roth Peptide Skinjection Hydra-Gel Patches 60 patches / pack 

And 

Tatcha The Indigo Cleansing Balm Moisturizing Makeup Remover 1.9 oz / 54 g that was finally released on Sephora Canada, this was the best surprise this month from the Beauty world. I have been waiting! 🙌

That's a good point @Sunnysmom The color really does have that calming vibe and it matches the theme of the whole Indigo line, gentle and soothing. ✨

I did notice that too as soon as I opened the box, that it was smaller than I had hoped for. @CookieGirl1  But the good news is I can use very little too get the job done. 

I am sooooo over the moon this came to Canadian shelves thou! My skin is pretty fussy and I'm allergic to the version of Farmacy Clearly Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 6.8 oz / 200 ml that's available here.

I literally did a double take when I saw this product on the Canadian Site a few weeks ago. I thought maybe I had accidentally switched to the US by mistake. But no, there it was. 😃 I was so thrilled it was really here!! @peculiarzmakeup 

It's my favorite this month in the sense that it's a product I've been so interested in trying for such a looong time. More of a favorite find. But from using it, it's very enjoyable. It seems to be gentle enough for my sensitive skin too. If it becomes a true fave, time will tell.

That’s a really good way of putting it I think that’s so true in terms of wanting to try something for a while and the experimentation process of using it in between and seeing how you like it that’s a neat perspective ❤️ @CynthieLu
