Hey, @princesshappy , I'd encourage you to, if you can, avoid using eye makeup and anything irritating until the skin heals. Then you can use a cleansing oil (as recommended below) or a gentle cleansing balm Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm . As someone with sensitive eyes, I like to use the balm in combination with a Make Up Eraser The Original MakeUp Eraser MakeUp Eraser® PRO Pink Reusable Makeup Remover . I would recommend if you use an oil or balm, put on dry skin and emulsify with gentle rubbing and wipe off with a gentle cloth. If you're using micellar water or biphasic remover (remember to shake these up), what I like to do, is hold a Shiseido Super-Soft, 100% Natural Facial Cotton 165 sheets (or similar cotton) damp with the micellar water/makeup remover to my closed eye for like 15-30 seconds and then wipe, but not too aggressively. (It may be the case that part of irritation came from rubbing too aggressively). Good luck!!

I recently purchased the Drunk Elephant Return to Classics Protini refill kit on 11/25 and had a similar reaction. I stopped using it immediately, but the next day I needed over-the-counter allergy medication to calm the rash. It took nearly two weeks and only using my trusted Vitamin C serum to get my skin back under control. This was especially alarming because I’ve been a long time user of the cream with no issues. When I reached out to the company, I was essentially told the reaction was my fault. The lack of genuine concern and the silence that followed solidified my decision to stop using their products altogether. I was also surprised to learn that Drunk Elephant was acquired by the Shiseido Group in 2019. A makeup brand I used for 15 years was acquired by them as well. I experienced a similar reaction from the makeup after that acquisition.

I recently purchased the Drunk Elephant Return to Classics Protini refill kit on 11/25 and had the exact same reaction described by you (and others). I stopped using it immediately, but the next day I needed over-the-counter allergy medication to calm the rash, and it took nearly two weeks to get my skin back under control. This was especially alarming because I’ve been a long time user of the cream with no issues. When I reached out to the company, I was essentially told the reaction was my fault. The lack of genuine concern and the silence that followed solidified my decision to stop using their products altogether. As a consumer, I should be able to walk into a store and trust that what I’m buying is safe. I was also surprised to learn that Drunk Elephant was acquired by the Shiseido Group in 2019.A makeup brand I used for 15 years was acquired by them as well. I experienced a similar reaction from the makeup after that acquisition.
