Eye makeup remover

Hi, I had a reaction to the Sephora and to the Clinique eye makeup remover… its itching and then it kinda leaves the skin burned.
I also tried Bioderma Atoderm intensive eye and I think it does the same reaction.. (waiting to retry it when I Will be completly healed)

I Always used baby wipes … wanted to have a more effective option but well 😔

any suggestions ?

Thank you

Re: Eye makeup remover

Hey, @princesshappy , I'd encourage you to, if you can, avoid using eye makeup and anything irritating until the skin heals. Then you can use a cleansing oil (as recommended below) or a gentle cleansing balm Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm . As someone with sensitive eyes, I like to use the balm in combination with a Make Up Eraser The Original MakeUp Eraser MakeUp Eraser® PRO Pink Reusable Makeup Remover . I would recommend if you use an oil or balm, put on dry skin and emulsify with gentle rubbing and wipe off with a gentle cloth. If you're using micellar water or biphasic remover (remember to shake these up), what I like to do, is hold a Shiseido Super-Soft, 100% Natural Facial Cotton 165 sheets (or similar cotton) damp with the micellar water/makeup remover to my closed eye for like 15-30 seconds and then wipe, but not too aggressively. (It may be the case that part of irritation came from rubbing too aggressively). Good luck!!

Re: Eye makeup remover

Sorry to hear about your skin not taking to those products @princesshappy. I hope the healing process goes quickly and smoothly for you.

For eye makeup removal, my go-to's are either Bioderma Sensibio - H2O Micellar Water (clear bottle, pink cap) or MAKE UP FOR EVER Gentle Eye Gel Waterproof Eye & Lip Makeup Remover 4.2 oz / 125 ml - my eyes get very sensitive in the springtime (allergies) and when I do wear eye makeup then, I use the Make Up For Ever remover. There's also a mini version MAKE UP FOR EVER Mini Gentle Eye Gel Waterproof Eye & Lip Makeup Remover 1.6 oz / 50 ml available.

I recently tried Typology 7-Ingredient Micellar Water (part of 2025 Advent Calendar) and it's gentle and effective. I haven't used it on my eyes whe they're at their most sensitive but it seems to work as gently as the other two I mentioned.

Re: Eye makeup remover

I’ve had reactions to several eye makeup removers too, and baby wipes sometimes feel safest.
