Re: RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

Thank you that’s very helpful!

RE: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

Can you mix Good Genes with Vitamin C Serum like triple lightening from Soko Glam?

RE: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

@Gia2016 Hey there! We suggest using CEO as your day serum and Good Genes at night!

Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

I was looking to add an exfoliator to my regime so I'm happy for this 7 day trial. I'm on day 2 of using It in my evening routine and I’m liking it thus far. 1x/week I do a sheet mask and 1x/wk I do a charcoal mask/sheet mask combo.  Should i use GG before or after the sheet mask? Or should I even bother on those days? I dont want to overload with products.

RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

@SaunC Hello! We suggest using Good Genes daily, and using sheet masks 2-3 times a week at most. We suggest using your sheet mask first and following it with Good Genes!

Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

I’m wondering what would be the best routine for my skin. I have combo skin(made more oily during my work days) and acne prone with a TON of blackheads. I currently have the 7 day good genes challenge and already am seeing amazing results. The SR products I have are Martian, UFO, CEO moisturizer, Tidal, and Luna. Along with Saturn. I had a sample of the CEO serum and I’m planning on purchasing that next! I use Martian, UFO and tidal in the morning and Luna, good genes and CEO moisturizer at night. What do you recommend what I should use and how I should use it? Thanks for your feedback!

RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

@KaySepulveda Hey there! Your routine sounds solid! We suggest using CEO Serum in the morning after UFO, and because you have combination skin, we suggest applying Martian only to the areas where you get oily. Other than that, keep your routine as is!

Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

I’ve been meaning to buy Good Genes for quite sometimes because I wanted to find out if it was just hype or if it’s really true to what people were saying. Not to mention not all skin is created equal. I didn’t want to spend the money on something i wasn’t sure if it would work for me. Then this 7 day challenge came out! I’ll have to say the results have been remarkable! I noticed on day 2 the difference in my skin. I don’t have problem skin but I’m 36 and am experiencing the usual aging that comes with age. It has made my skin very fresh, smooth and dewy looking! My skin is instantly brighter. This is something I’m definitely going to purchase and now I’m really intrigued and curious by the other SR products out there.

RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

I started with one Sunday Riley product (C.E.O Serum) and now it is my complete arsenal! Haven’t used one product I didn’t look at myself and say “Can’t do without this one!” Holding out for the kits helps you to save money and try the products, right now is the duo kit with Ceramic Slip and Good Genes and I didn’t think it could get better! (the set is $28)

RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

@LisaBMatt Thank you so much for your feedback! We are so happy to hear that you love Good Genes!

Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

@sundayriley I am wondering where Good Genes would fit into my routine.

AM- FAB cleanser, DE C-Tango eye cream, DE C-Firma, DE B-Hydra, DE Protini, Belief The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb

PM- Clinique Take the Day Off, YTTP Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser, Tarte Knockout, DE B-Hydra, DE Protini, Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil, Belief The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb

RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

@CoffeeLush! Hey there! Because you are already using a lactic acid product in your routine (Tarte Knockout), we would suggest using Good Genes in the morning after your Drunk Elephant C-Firma serum and using an SPF of at least 25. If you wanted to use it at night, we suggest alternating the days that you use Knockout and Good Genes.

Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

I have a lot of the Sunday Riley products I am just wondering what the routine would be. Currently I have Martian, Saturn, ufo, Luna, tidal, and good genes. Any help or advice is much appreciated!

RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

@battynanny Hey there! Here is how we suggest using your products in a routine: Morning: after cleansing (we suggest our Ceramic Slip cleanser), apply Martian followed by UFO and Tidal Night: after cleansing, apply Martian followed by Luna, Good Genes and Tidal Saturn can be used 2-3 times a week as a spot treatment or mask to clear stubborn breakouts. We suggest introducing it into your routine gradually and rinsing it off within 20 minutes of application (you can use it overnight after seeing how your skin does with it)

Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

I was wondering this too!

Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

I just got my 7-day sample of Good Genes today. I’ve heard great things about it from a skincare group on Facebook. I’m pretty new to skincare and recently developed a basic routine to hopefully address dullness, fine lines and and aging. Does Good Genes help with these issues? Do you have other products I should check into to help my skin look younger?

Where would I add Good Genes into this routine?

AM- wash, toner, vitamin c, moisturizer and sunblock

PM- wash, toner, retinol (every other day), moisturizer.

Once a week I use an AHA/BHA peeling solution in the evening.

Thank you for your advice and for giving us the chance to try this!

RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

@biabea Hey there! Good Genes should be used like a serum, and because you are using a Vitamin C serum during the day we would suggest adding Good Genes at night right after your retinol product. Good Genes will help with lines and dullness as well as skin texture, and if you want additional anti-aging benefits, we suggest pairing it with our Luna oil by later Luna first and then using Good Genes! Finally, we would suggest skipping Good Genes in the night that you are using your other exfoliating product. Using both at the same time might be too much exfoliation for the skin and might cause sensitivity.

Re: RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

This is so helpful! Thank you for your reply! 🙂

RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

Hi @biabea~ The experience I’ve had with Good Genes leads me to answer your question with yes! It is such an all-star product that I feel it should stand alone and not be used on the same night with BHAs and other AHAs. As for layering it under or over retinol, I know that Sunday Riley claims Luna Oil can be layered under GG. I use GG only at night and three times a week due to my dry, sensitive skin. If you must apply GG for your AM routine, I can’t stress the importance of using a facial sunscreen with a high SPF. Hope this helps and that it does what it has done for me. It is worth every penny. Best wishes

Re: RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

Thank you for the feedback and help with the routine! Seems like it would be ok to rotate evening routine with retinol one night and GG the next? Or are you supposed to use GG every night? Does the Luna have retinol? Have you used that?

RE: Re: RE: Re: Sunday Riley Real Results Challenge

You are very welcome @biabea! Rotating specific serums is what I do because it works for my skin. However, I am sure there are many people who layer serums. If this is your case, I would just wait between applying serums and apply them from thinnest to thickest consistency. As for Luna, though I have never used this form of retinol, I have read positive reviews. Best wishes
