EDIT: My husband asked me yesterday what I did to make my son's neck clear up so quickly!
I can't take any pictures because my teen son would DIE if I posted a photo of him and his skin on Sephora, so please just take my word for the following post. 🙂
He just got hired at a job that requires him to be outside for up to 8 hours at a time. Me, being the fussy (to him) mom that I am, I made him use sunscreen because he had an allergic reaction to a sunburn last year and suffered immensely from it.
He has acne, including some cystic acne. I know that, because he has keratosis pilaris, his body doesn't shed the old skin like it should, and his pores on his dry skin get easily clogged. It had leveled out some, but he had the worst break out I've ever seen by Monday.
Red bumps of all sizes all over his back, face, chest, and particularly his neck. All places where the sunblock had been applied. I honestly didn't know what to do.
I saw my Good Genes packets from the last SR challenge, and had him apply it to the bad areas (he already cleanses with Ceramic Slip.)
His face is back to normal today (Wednesday,) and the rest of his body is recovering nicely, after only THREE applications of Good Genes!
I would also like to share that we had run out of options with the dermatologist. Every cream they suggested aggravated his skin (I gave his skin plenty of time to get used to the treatments.) For medical reasons he can't take Accutane pills, so we were really stuck.
@Ispend2much6. Thank you for sharing this story! THIS and all the stories like it are what SR is my HG skin care line!!!!
@Ispend2much6 Do you think you son is sensitive to certain sunblocks if it was mostly in places where the sunblock was applied? For myself I learned the hard way that I can't put chemical sunscreens on my face or it'll break out in tiny bumps everywhere!!
That's awesome the good genes worked!
@mella900 I wish I knew definitively what happened. I usually give him an spf 30 Neutrogena with no problem, and this was spf 50, so I'm sure there were different ingredients. I need to compare the two for sure. Thanks!
@Anonymous Yup!! Typical Sunday Riley story!!! I tell everyone I know about the line!!! TOO Fantastic!!! I just ordered my 7 day challenge today!!!
You look great, @Anonymous!
@Anonymous Wow!!! Thanks for sharing!
Hi @sundayriley! I’d like to see if you could help me include Good Genes in my nighttime routine. I struggle with severe acne & combination skin (quite dry in some areas).
This is what I do/products I use:
In what order should I apply the products, and with what frequency?
Thank you!!
Can and how would I use the CEO Rapid Flash brightening serum with Good Genes during the day?
At night I am using the power couple duo, but I want some vitamin C during the day. I was just wondering the proper order. Thank you.
I'm of a 'certain age' where I thought beautiful skin wasn't possible. That is until I discovered SR Good Genes about nine months ago. Although I'd like to remember my youth I'd rather forget my acne scars. Thanks to Good Genes they are almost invisible! My skin is brighter, fine lines are gone - I can't explain it, my skin is improved in every way. For the first time IN MY LIFE I was going to the Sephora at the mall and I cut through another store and the YSL representative actually stopped me to tell me I had beautiful skin! Same happened at Sephora. Although I was there for some makeup restocking the sales girl said my skin was so beautiful and asked what I was using. Never. Ever. In. My. 60. Years. has that happened, and it was twice in one day! I also use the C.E.O. Cleansing Oil from SR as it is so gentle on my skin and removes every trace of makeup and the day.
Good Genes, indeed! I wasn't born with them, but thank heaven I'm able to purchase them!
