Hi! I typically cleanse first, then apply hyaluronic acid serum, then retinol, then moisturize. For the challenge, should I keep or drop the hyaluronic acid step?
Thanks!
Speaking of where to add things, those of you who already use Good Genes and Luna, where do you incorporate them into your routine? Right now I am cleansing with either Ceramic Slip or Tatcha Rice Enzyme powder, then use Martian Toner, then Good Genes, Then UFO. Should I just add Luna Last? Skip UFO when I use Luna?
@mermadelove We love your regimen! We'd recommend applying 2-3 drops of UFO in the AM and layering Good Genes on top based on skin sensitivity. In the PM, apply 2-3 drops of Luna followed by Good Genes. UFO and Luna should be applied before Good Genes because they work under the surface, whereas Good Genes works on the surface. These two oils are also dry treatment oils and are recommended to be used as serums. We hope this helps!
@ashwarya I think you’ll find this thread helpful ☺️
I use Retin-A in the evenings. How do I incorporate Good Genes into my daily routine? Can I put it on in the ams or skip the Retin-A the days I use Good Genes?
I would say use them (retin A and Good Genes) on different days. I love doing the good genes+ceramic clip
cleanser “flash facial” they have n sell, during days I don’t wear makeup, and leaving it on for hours.

@sundayriley I'm currently using Luna and Good Genes in the evening, but from your recent comment it seems that you can use Good Genes in the AM too. What would the benefit be of using it twice a day instead of once a day? If I do add it into my AM routine, where would I fit it in? My current AM routine is cleanse (varies), Tatcha The Essance, Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion, Tatcha Silk Cream, sunscreen (varies), then primer and make-up. Also, can Good Genes be used under the eyes? I am in desperate need of something to help with under eye fine lines/wrinkles. Thanks for the help! 🙂
GOT IT! @sundayriley Truly appreciate the feedback!!!!!! ❤️
@KrishAtl I used to use the entire Korres system: Yogurt cleansing cream/toner, wild rose oil, priming moisturizer. After a few months of using it this time around, I went from combination skin to breaking out EVERYWHERE! That is how I discovered Sunday Riley. First I switched to belif, which just made things worse, and made me 'scared' of water gel based moisturizers, then I tried a sample of the UFO and there was no looking back. For routine daily skincare I used 80% SR and 20% tatcha. Seriously my skin has never looked so good! It's to the point now where if something says Sunday Riley, I give it a go! ( Although I did try the foundation and although it said it was for oily skin, it did NOT work for me. I was seriously bummed!!)
@sundayriley I found this thread when looking to see if anyone had started a Sunday Riley specific thread because SR is my holy grail skin care line!!! I started out with a sample of UFO and graduated to the URO, Martian and Saturn mask trio. I have literally never had better skin in my life!!!! I tell everyone I know with oily/acne prone skin about that trio. I have a friend who has hormonal cystic acne. She has been trying to fight it with her dermatologist for over a year. She's tried everything from Retin A to antibiotics to no avail. Now her skin looks AMAZING!! She gave me a sample of Good Genes because she found she didn't need it. I didn't think it was doing anything until I stopped using it for a week. Then I noticed that my skin looked a little rougher, a little less dewy, a little less smooth than when I Was using it every day. I tried the Tarte Knockout Tingling treatment as a more economical alternative and learned very quickly that you get what you pay for!! My skin was over sensitised and raw feeling after using that. I switched back to Good Genes and have been happy ever since. THANK YOU for all of your fabulous products!!!! I can't wait for this challenge to have travel friendly packets. Looking to try Luna next!!!!
@sundayriley. Thank you for making AMAZING products! You are my litmus test for skin care. If an item doesn’t work as well as your products do, it’s out of my regimen!
@sundayriley Good Genes has changed my skin care life completely. Gone is the texture I used to experience on my forehead. I encourage anyone who is on the fence to try this challange out. You will NOT regret it!!!!! 🖤❤
@sundayriley Placed an order today to get the sachets....great to travel with!
How fun!! I I have both Luna and Good Genes but haven’t used them in a few weeks, this will be a great way to get back in to them! Thank you for starting this thread @sundayriley!
