Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Ohhhh... I didn't at first glance think I had any quickie masks but I have both of these ones.  I might need to do a copy cat masking @itsfi !  I actually think I bought the SC stick mask twice at your suggestion (yet again I'd forgotten I already had one).

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

β€œyet again I’d forgotten I already had one.” πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ Ohhh @missjeanie, I’m laughing because I know completely what you mean. It’s gotten better recently for me - I’m sure the low / no mask helps 😝, but there was a stretch where I’d discover multiples of certain sheet masks in my stash. So many times, too many times really, when I didn’t realize I had purchased the same one(s) again and again ... and it was not because I had purchased a box of them. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜†

Oooh, if you do use the masks, I’d love to hear your thoughts on them. No pressure though; I know there are a lot of masks to get through. So many masks, so little time; and just one face. πŸ˜†

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi I just did it earlier yesterday!  I had a MAC eyeliner in my cart ready to go... I already own it.  I've come close on several occasions the last couple of years lol... I'm trying to wait until sales to make purchases and force myself to look through my collection before ordering for a bit.  Hopefully it'll keep too many doubles down.   I think this mask set will be done tomorrow!  I'll tag you for sure.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@missjeanie, completely understand! For most of this year, I've tried to limit my purchases to ones that I could do with gift cards, rewards points, etc. even if it was on my list of things I planned for. That's worked mainly for a few stores. I've managed to spend less on certain products as a result of some low / no buys during the year, but then again, I've probably spent more on things in certain other categories 🀣 so hopefully it's a wash. πŸ€ž Shopping my stash, project pan, etc. have helped with whittling down what I have.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi so so happy to see it's a favorite!! I personally love both of these Spirulina masks πŸ™Œ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

These spirulina masks are great @lmaster! Thank you again for sharing your like of the spirulina version of the sheet mask. I wouldn’t have moved to pick it up and use it as soon as I did if it was not for your feedback on it. πŸ˜ƒ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

It'll be interesting to see if the stick masks get a new "clean" version in the upcoming months, @itsfi. Glad to hear the spirulina sheet mask performed well!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Agree @quspork! πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ I’m very interested to see what if anything else will be introduced as part of the Sephora β€œclean” line, skincare and makeup wise. Not sure if there are plans to bring back these mask sticks. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I’ve heard / read mixed reviews on them; which isn’t necessarily uncommon for any product, but these didn’t seem to have as much traction as I thought they might.

@TeamBIC, any word (that you can share) on whether these mask sticks will be reformulated and made part of the new β€œclean” line?
@Shosh85 @lmaster

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi the stick mask sounds similar to the exfoliating balms by Sephora as well. It sounds like a very pretty mask; the Crayola Cornflower crayon is such a soothing hue,  and it was the first thing I thought of when you mentioned the shade:)

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Good ol’ Crayola crayons @eshoe. πŸ– The primer for most of us when it comes to all the different color variations out there.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I happened to come across this shortly after your post, @itsfi  @tjffc inspired me, from ILNP:

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi  The Spirulina mask is one of the few "clean" masks I picked up, so I'm super happy to hear you enjoyed it!

It's a bummer the stick is/will be discontinued! It didn't even seem like it was around for too long! 😳

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Shosh85, I haven’t made my way through all the masks in the clean line yet. I think I will try to get to all of them but I’m not rushing it. I think maybe that’s a sign of age? πŸ˜‚ I’m finding the longer I’ve been masking, the more inclined I am to better pace myself with trying all the different masks out there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still like β€œooooh, maaaasks!!!” 😍 I think I’m just more content with repeating ones I know work well for my skin and being more deliberate when it comes to picking and choosing what new masks I want to try next.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi  Awww, that's too bad the spirulina stick mask may be discontinued. I like that one. I haven't tried the sheet mask version before, but I'll definitely put it on my list of things to try.

By the way, I've never had a spirulina bowl before. I just did a search - it looks beautiful (and yummy)!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Definitely give the spirulina sheet mask a try @PrettyPaint! My face was very happy with it. πŸ˜

The first time I tried spirulina was from Jamba Juice and I was not a fan. Then I tried it at an acai bowl place and that changed my tune; I like it with chia seeds. πŸ˜‹

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi  I am a lover of chia seeds. I have them basically every day.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@PrettyPaint, what do you use them in? Smoothies? Yogurt?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

G is for Glycerin, an ingredient in this mask

Ok this mask is a completely different experience from the first one I used in the set. Automatically I smell the scent of fruity goodness, no weird chemical combined with fruit. I love that the sheet says it's banana fiber tissue, I'll have to look into that. The fit was still very similar to the others, eye holes needed snipped in the inner corner, but the sheet was adequately saturated with the yellow tinted serum. Wear time was 20 minutes, despite the 5 minute time frame on the package. After removing my skin felt very nourished and hydrated along with a bit of moisturizing. No lasting tackiness. This one is great, I would love to repurchase separately and will if they are ever available that way.IMG_20201110_183511699.jpg

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Glad to hear this one turned out better @lmaster! Here's to hoping Sephora releases this one separately.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@itsfi out of the three,, this is the only one I'd want to repurchase 😣 I do hope they will separate them

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Fingers crossed @lmaster! 🀞🏼
