This year is going to be a little different - simplified. Easy. Every month will have a new theme, and that's it. Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Most importantly - have fun!

Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights 💮

Hello, long long time no see! 

Last night I tried the Brightening superfood salad for skin beet mask. 

• water essence
• Hi-TENCEL mask, which says it is a cellulosic sheet extracted from Eucalyptus tree. 100% natural fiber and 100% biodegradable.

This mask was saturated!! I left it on for 15 minutes, (15-20 recommended). It did not dry out anywhere on the mask during that time. It took 5-10 minutes for the essence to dry on my skin afterwards, and normally my skin soaks everything right up. 

Next morning I found my skin to be red and very very oily in the t-zone. It did look brightened though.

Yay for a tencel masks (one of my favorite materials for sheet masks) and brightened skin @Samtian, but redness and an overly oily T-zone does not sound great. Hoping the redness and oiliness subsided without too many lingering adverse effects.

@itsfi I knew someone loved the material I just couldn't remember who. Thankfully it was better after I washed my face the next day (oilyness) redness was gone mid-day.

@Samtian I am glad the mask helped with brightening. Did the mask have red in it from the beets? Or did it irritate your skin?

@Mellmars1185 Thank you! It irritated my skin. A lot of brightening products do, so I try to avoid them.

I was so excited about your saturated mask, @Samtian until I got to the redness and oiliness the following day. That's disappointing! But yay for some brightness I guess?

I have been crazy busy then super sick and crazy busy again so I have a few to post! 

Tonight I’m away in the city and spent the evening in the pool. I thought the best way to unwind would be a mask. I threw a few in my overnight bag and didn’t really look at which ones I grabbed so I played mask roulette. Whichever mask I pull out is the one I use!

 This green tea mask is what I used. It was drenched in essence. It says eliminate toxin levels, fights premature aging, regulate hormone levels and reduces inflammation and redness. Hmmm those are big claims. I can’t say it lived up to the claims but it felt nice on, left no tackiness. Genuinely a nice mask! I would use it again!

The packaging on this mask is really cute; I like the aesthetics of it @ather ! Love, love, loooove that you played sheet mask roulette to find your way to this mask. How fun! 😊 Green tea sheet masks were some of the first sheet masks I used when I started on my sheet mask journey; this is inspiring me to dig through my masks to find a green tea based one to use ... and to bring green tea into my daily routine more regularly again.
