Try Ipsy, they give you stuff for $10 a month and it’s based after you so skin type and color as well as hair type and you get to review it all so they will edit what they send you from month to month so your not disappointed. Also you get one full sized item and I really like it. Finally you get to pick the brands that you usually use and colors that you want, they have introduced me to lots of new fun brands and masks and stuff like that

How about some Too Faced Festival samples?  That would be better than hair products or more red lipsticks.

I'm starting to feel like we are all becoming disappointed...maybe their profile could be more precise?  So some of us can stop getting red lipstick if we don't like it, or the hair products we will never use, etc.  I realized it's not fully customized, but too many of us are getting too much stuff we don't like.  It's a box of disappointment and shattered expectations every month, LOL

February '18 was the first subscription box I received (I say "subscription" because my first Play box was one from last summer that I bought on Sephora's site in the fall--guess they had a surplus?--and really liked it). I signed up in January with high hopes, and was fairly disappointed with Feb's box, especially compared with the summer box I'd bought.

Judging by Feb's experience and all the commentary here, March will probably be my last box, and I'll be switching to another service. The brands (e.g., MUFE, P.T. Roth, Philosophy) are good quality, but sample mascaras, face creams, and perfumes are SO ubiquitous that I literally never need to receive another again. I have 17 mini mascaras right now, which I'll probably never get through. Also, I'd like the Play box to be my opportunity to try newer or less-common brands.

To sum up: there's just very little that's interesting, fun, or exciting about these Play boxes. 😕 I've been a frequent customer for 18 years, and I'm sorry, Sephora, but I feel this is a major missed opportunity on your part.

I completely agree with you. I enjoy my Glam Bag from Ipsy more than what I get from Sephora. I’ve recently gotten back into makeup. So I tend to purchase products of samples that I like. I can go back to buying from Ulta.

The past several boxes have been horrible. I do not want to get 2 lip products in the same box and the one was broken 😞. This month is saphora's last chance to keep me!!  If this box sucks  I'll pick up birchbox instead!

My lipstick was broken in Feb, too! Had to throw it away, unfortunately.

My last box was very disappointing... I'm giving Sephora Play one more chance... if March box sucks again??... I'm done with red lipsticks and nude lips that make me look sick or dehydrated!! Well see how March is...

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the nude Sephora lip gloss I got in Feb--nudes so often look caramely or flat on me. However, the MUFE lipstick I got was a severe raisin shade that looks awful with my super-pale skin. I will be giving away everything from this box except for the nude gloss. Bleh.
